Placement Experience:

The placement scenario at Central University of Jammu is quite promising. Students become eligible for campus placements typically from the sixth semester onwards, allowing them to showcase their skills and secure job opportunities in reputed companies. Several renowned companies visit the campus for recruitment drives, offering diverse job roles to the students. Some of the companies that have visited in the past include Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and HDFC Bank, among others. These companies have made a significant number of job offers across various profiles, providing students with a wide range of career opportunities. The highest and average package offered during campus placements vary depending on the company and the job role. Generally, the highest package ranges from INR 8-10 lakhs per annum, while the average package falls around INR 3-4 lakhs per annum

Review for Central University

What I Liked

The faculty which is very good and I would say this is best compared to other departments.
Thursday mind meet is organised for every department on Thursday in which one department get opportunity and have a special lecture on that topic with honourable guests.
Sport event which is organised on ending of October which is an opportunity for students who are good in sports and that sport event is named as COMBATICA

What I didn’t like

Our university is in construction which is sometimes becomes problematic for us.
The campus location is in rural area which affect sometimes transportation.
In university transportation which is not available like e-auto or any vehicle is not provided if someone wants to go to any other buildings.

Placement Experience:

Well in my department our batch is the supermost senior so I didn't know about placement or anything but yes I heard that that we have a separate department for career placement which provide placement to deserving students. But, mostly I have seen placement is for MBA , Zoology,etc and other departments and through the their banner I get to know that the highest placement is 8 lakh per year approximately.

Internships Opportunities:

Well , I'm not avail any internship or placement opportunities but yes. I have heard about different companies which provide placement and even internship for students too. But in economics we don't have any seniors as our batch is the only super most senior so I can't say anything.

What is the difference between BBA and B.Voc retail management? Is retail management at Central University of Jammu good?

BBA provides knowledge about company functioning, interconnection. Students also learn about business decision-making, managerial and communication skills, etc. B.Voc on the other hand teaches how to bring customers into the store and fulfill their buying needs. The Central University of Jammu isn’t a good option for pursuing Retail Management.

I have a few friends from the Central University of Jammu. According to them, the campus life is quite good. The university recently got its campus. It is still trying to grow and improve. The academics offered at the institute is good. The faculty base is decent. Also, joining the institute is better than joining a Govt. university as you will get a degree from a central university.
