Scholarships are also provided to the students who has reservation benefits and also provided to the ews students.
The faculty members in the department are very good at knowledge and have a great experience in their field. some faculty members are iitians also.
Campus life is good as the campus is huge, green and beautiful .

Dislikes

Hostels are not provided to everyone due to shortage of rooms.
Food quality of hostel is very poor they have to change that
Hostel messes are not so good and food test is average

Best University

What I Liked

The classes of my department is held at on their respective time.
Their is no raging of the juniors in our university
Their is no other activities like fighting their is a crime free area and at every department their is a security guard.

What I didn’t like

My class is started now but the hostel list is not displayed.
The result of our first semester is not displayed yet
In the library their is less seat in the reading hall

the curriculum helps teachers organize and present the learning structurally, enabling learners to grasp it effectively. Thanks to a proper curriculum, lessons aren't taught haphazardly, allowing teachers to set the pace for their learning to be imparted properly and efficiently grasped by the students.

Remarks:

If u want to take admission in our university firstly the University held a entrance test of their respective course where u want to take admission after that the first list in displayed after that second and third list is displayed and also counseling will be held when the list is displayed and if your name is on list u get admission in our university but firstly all the documents are checked by the department

What I Liked

The lush green campus and the greenery of the campus is very tempting and looks very beautiful.
Sports facilities are very good in this university. Students use to play like every sport cricket, basketball, football, archery and many more.
Infrastructure of the university is very nice and beautiful. Library is very big and have number of books and also for like all the competative exams.

What I didn’t like

Hostel facilities are bad. like you will only get hostel in first year but after that you have to come in top 6 in your class to get the hostel in second year.
Teachers only teach theory and you will not be able to understand that also.
Curriculum is more focused on theory rather than practical knowledge. You have to improve everything by yourself so that you can get job in future as placement is very bad here.

Placement Experience:

Placement in our university is very bad. Only few students get the placement on campus. From 3rd year students become eligible for placement and internship. Criteria of the campus placement is 7 cgpa and this is hard to get here because of strict checking process. Lowest package offered is 2lpa and the highest is 12lpa for the printing students. For the printing students this college is very nice because of 100% placement.

Remarks:

For taking admisssion in btech and in this university you have to give jee mains exam. Cutoff for the cse branch is like rank under 200000 and for it under 300000. And if you want other branches like mechanical or civil you can get in 800000 also but in physical councelling. Reservation is also there for SC,ST, and obc students. Students can fill form of HSTES councelling conduct by the haryana for haryana colleges.

What I Liked

The university has a wide campus that is very nice
The university have hostel facility for students
The university has a variety of courses.

What I didn’t like

The university increased courses have less space for campus
University has a lot of greenery but there is more chances of insects
The students in hostels are increased but the space is same yet

The curriculum the universities according to the course it relates with the real world experiment and the core syllabus has a great scope in the future and the teaching method of teachers are good the provide good information about the subject they are well trained in their subject

Having known some people graduating from both GJU and DCRUST, I can share some details about both colleges. See which one suits you better and opt for that one.

Since both colleges are located far away from the city, the chances of professional and personal exposure are very less.
DCRUST has a very enthusiastic and competitive student crowd, unlike GJU.
While choosing a college also keep in mind their infrastructure, placements, and faculty.
The placements at DCRUST are also better than GJU.
Students of CSE and ECE received the highest placement opportunities.
TCS has been the top recruiter consecutively every year.
The faculty of DCRUST is also better experienced than GJU.
DCRUST offers students a Robotics lab too.

Yes, you will need a valid JEE Main score to apply for B.Tech at GJU. The institute shortlists students based on their JEE scores and the final selection is done through counseling. The counseling is conducted by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES).

You need to have passed 10+2 with at least 45% in order to be eligible for admission.

Which college should I prefer for a "B. tech CSE": Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar (Haryana), or Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran?

Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar is ranked in 100-150 band in NIRF 2020 whereas CGC Landran is ranked in 201-250 band in NIRF 2020. Guru Jambheshwar University and CGC Landran both are good engineering colleges at par with industry standards.

Admission:

The JEE main 2019 cut-off for Guru Jambheshwar University CSE Branch was 53,885 rank for general all India students and 92,653 for home state general students.
The cut-off for the same year at CGC Landran was 6,87,300 rank for all India general category students and 10,90,000 for home state students.

Hence, getting admission into CGC Landran is much easier as compared to GJU Hisar.

Curriculum:

CGC is affiliated to Punjab Technical University which is a bit outdated. Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar has better course-curriculum and practical facilities. This university is affiliated to University Grant Commissions (UGC).

Facilities:

CGC Landran provides good computer centre facilities. The institute has a dedicated networking centre which is beneficial for CSE students. CGC has better facilities than GJU. Non-academic facilities such as hostels, transportation etc are almost the same in both the colleges.

Location:

Location wise CGC Landran has an edge over Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar as it is located on outskirts of Chandigarh and Mohali. Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar is also urbanely situated but Chandigarh has better exposure as well as connectivity than Hisar.

Infrastructure:

Both colleges have good campuses and Infrastructure but CGC Landran has better campuses and facilities in terms of sports facilities, computer centres and libraries. Hostels and catering services are not up to that required level in both the Colleges.

Placements:

The highest package in CGC Landran was 35 LPA whereas in Guru Jambheshwar University was 6 LPA. But the latter had a better average package of 5 LPA as compared to 3.5 LPA of CGC Landran.
The placement percentage of CGC Landran is 100% whereas the placement percentage is 80% for Guru Jambheshwar University.
CGC Landran is visited by companies like Microsoft, IBM, HP, Google, Dell, Samsung etc and on the other hand, Guru Jambheshwar University is visited by Canara Bank, Birla Sun Life Insurance Co, Bank of India, Bajaj Allianz Insurance Co., Axis Bank, Andhra Bank etc.

The maximum package offered is greater in CGC Landran but Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar has better average placement package. Also, the placement at CGC Landran is 100% compared to 80% in Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar as CGC students are hired by mass recruiters too which lowers the average placement package. Ranking of Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar is better than CGC Landran.

If all facts are combined then it is equally good to choose both the institutes for CS Engineering. The feature which should be given the most priority is the decision of prospective students.
