Housing design gives a great opportunity to create a significant impact on a larger scale. It is an exciting niche that falls between urban design and architecture, and it has a strong emphasis on sociocultural aspects of real estate and current needs. The course provides a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of housing design which is likely to remain a significant aspect of architecture in the coming years. The program is structured such that every unit of 12 has a tutor and a teaching assistant. Additionally, the program Director is actively involved in all studios, providing much-needed guidance and support. All of the studio professors are practising architects with established practices in housing, bringing a wealth of practical and real-life experiences into the studio, and making it insightful. While there is a strong inclination towards academics, the studio remains academically engaging. It is worth noting that the marking is assignment or review based.
Read Full ReviewHad few of my friends who were CEPT alumni asked me to look into their websites to explore possible options. I have read through the contents of the CEPT official website and student portfolios for my interest in the subject. The transport faculties have already done tremendous work in the sector and are still in the process. Once I joined I was extremely happy in terms of their teaching techniques and also empathy toward their students. The studios were well organized and I received good help from every faculty. The guest lectures organized to keep the students updated related to the industry and also the evaluation of studio work from the esteemed professionals of the field was very helpful.
Read Full ReviewAll faculty members are well qualified and most of them are practicing parallthus and have good field knowledge. Apart from faculties there are Teaching associates who act as intermediate people to students and faculties. Which is unique about CEPT compared to other colleges in the country.

Read Full ReviewMy interest had always been inclined more towards understanding in depth about 'what is history'. In my bachelor's training, I was quite interested in history lectures and hence took up the research thesis to explore further. This all gave me clarity on what I really would like to pursue further. The class strength is 12. We have our tutor as well as teaching associate with whom group discussions, as well as individual discussions, happen on at regular basis. 1:12 All the faculties allocated have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with master's qualification. End-semester reviews at cept are quite unique as there are no written exams. It is mostly graded on the level of our understanding, how in-depth we have got into research and our final outcome.
Read Full ReviewFaculty: student ratio was around 1:5. I chose this course because the urban design field fascinated me. Faculty are knowledgeable practitioners in the field and have a ton of experience. Grading was on a relative basis.
