Course Description

CEPT M.Tech Admission 2023 is going to begin soon. Admission to its M.Tech courses are based on the candidates performance in the entrance examination conducted by the institute, followed by the Personal Interview process. To be eligible for the admissions, candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream with at least 55% as an aggregate, candidates in the final year are also eligible to apply.

CEPT or the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology is located in Ahmedabad, established in the year 1962 offers a two year full time M.Tech degree divided across four semesters. The M.Tech degree is offered by the university across various specializations, such as Construction Engineering and Management, Structural Engineering, Geomatics, Building Energy Performance.

CEPT University M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to take admission into the M.Tech course must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream with at least 55% as an aggregate, candidates in the final year are also eligible to apply.

CEPT University M.Tech Admission Procedure

Admission to its M.Tech courses is done on the basis of the candidates performance in the Entrance examination followed by a personal interview.

Application Procedure

Candidates need to apply for the M.Tech course by visiting the official website of the institute.

The eligibility of all the applications received by the candidates will be closely scrutinized by the authorities.
All eligible candidates will be called for an entrance examination.
Candidates clearing the entrance examination will be called for a personal interview round.
A merit list will be prepared where the final selected candidates will be featured for the further counselling process.
The selected candidates will be called for a counselling process and seats will be offered to them on the basis of their preferred specialization.

Ans. Yes. Reserved Category students are given 5% relaxation of marks during the time of admissions.

Ques. Is the Counselling session mandatory for applying students?

Ans. Yes. The counselling is compulsory for students to get admission in the M. Tech course. The students who shall qualify for the CEPT Entrance Test and the subsequent stages of the admission procedure will be called for a counselling session after the announcement of the results. It is mandatory that the students appear physically on the given date of the counselling. No form of relaxation shall be permitted in this context.

Ques. What is the pattern of the CEPT Entrance Examination?

Ans. CEPT Entrance Examination consists of objective type questions to be answered in 3 hours. Candidates will be asked the questions which they have studied in their Graduation.

SVNIT is theoretical research-based while CEPT is more practice-oriented. If you are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. further or if you would like to get placed on-campus, then SVNIT is your place.

After matching your requirements focus on excelling at GATE to get structural engineering getting into structural engineering at SVNIT.

If you choose CEPT then you will have to work hard to get a job. It is well known in all of Asia and has one of the best civil engineers. The faculty is highly qualified, its alumni are working in MNCs and most of them get annual trips abroad.

Lastly, if you are not from Ahmedabad you will have to stay at the CEPT hostel which is an awesome place to stay, as you will see for yourself if you so choose to be.

Be mindful of the fees because both SVNIT and Nirma charge more about the quality they provide.

Which will be better between SPA Delhi and CEPT University depending on the course you are choosing. If you want to pursue a B.Plan or B.Arch degree then SPA Delhi is a better choice. For a master’s degree, both of these colleges are decent options. However, the fee structure of the institutes is quite different. So, do your research on both institutes before choosing any of these institutes.

CEPT University is an old and reputed university. It ranks among the top universities for architecture. It has great faculty and environment. The culture on the campus is quite friendly. You can easily approach the faculties.

The campus is huge and well-equipped with up-to-date facilities and teaching methodology. The staff and student union on campus are also quite co-opearative.
