The evaluation of applications and preparation of merit list would be done as per the following stages.
Stage 1 - Checking applications for eligibility: All applications received will be scrutinized for the eligibility (as announced for each program) based on information provided/uploaded in the application form. Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be considered for Stage 2.
Stage 2: Entrance exam-1 and 2:
Stage 2 has two components. Both entrance tests would be conducted online. The first entrance examination would consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) related to Analytical reasoning, Mathematical ability, and English. The second entrance exam would consist of program specific questions also in the form of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
The applicant will have to ensure appearing for the examinations on the announced date and time.

A merit list is based on the compilation of marks of the academic performance at UG level, the results of entrance exams, and work experience. |

Students are also required to submit their portfolio which the committee will assess. The portfolio is a synopsis of one's creative work. As a visual essay, it tells the story of a person's interests, skills, and development over time. It should include projects that best express one's visual, spatial, and constructional abilities.

Admission procedure consists of two stages.
Stage I
- Experts Committee will be set up for the program to assess documents and portfolio to shortlist eligible candidates for the program.
- Admissions for some seats may be offered at this stage to applicants with exceptional performance and records
Stage II
The assessment process for this stage will be completely online
Some candidates may be informed regarding their eligibility for scholarships and admission after Stage I. All selected candidates will be called for an online Multiple Choice Test and an online Design Time Problem for the final decision on admissions. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in Stage II. |
M.Arch (Housing Design) |

Eligibility for M Arch (Conservation and Regeneration)
Candidates shall have passed Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) with minimum 55% aggregate marks and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates from any of the recognized Universities or Institutes situated in India.
Eligibility for MA (Conservation and Regeneration)
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination B.Tech (Structural, Civil), B. A in Archaeology, Bachelors in Interior Design (Minimum 4 years), Bachelors in Urban Design or Planning (Minimum 4 years).Minimum requirement to apply for the programs is 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree |
An Experts Committee will be set up for the program to assess all submitted material.

Eligibility for M Arch (Architectural History and Research)
Candidates shall have passed Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B. Arch) or equivalent recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates from a recognized University.
Eligibility for MA (Architectural History and Research)

Admission procedure consists of two stages.
Stage I - Shortlisting the candidates
The stage I is the screening stage. Eligibility criteria for clearing stage I consists of two parameters. Applicants meeting below mentioned criteria will be shortlisted for Stage II of admission process
- Minimum requirement of 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50 % aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree.
- Written Portfolio - Plagiarism check with a zero plagiarism tolerance
Stage II
The assessment process for this stage will be completely online
Candidates selected at Stage I will be shortlisted for Stage II of assessment process for the final decision on the admissions. |
M.Arch (Landscape Architecture) |
The candidate should have
- A first professional undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design and Urban design disciplines with at least four full-time academic years in duration offered by a recognized University or Institution.
- i) A postgraduate degree in any of the disciplines like Botany, Ecology, Horticulture, Geography, Agriculture, Forestry, Geology, Hydrology or similar natural sciences of a minimum of two years of full-time study with a prescribed bridge course*.
- ii) 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Planning with a prescribed bridge course*.
*Please note: For group B candidates, the admission given will be provisional subject to their successful completion of a prescribed 3 week bridge course offered by CEPT University .
Minimum requirement to apply for the program is 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree.
Two years professional and/or teaching experience along with drawing and presentation (hand and digital) skills are desirable. |
The Admission procedure consists of two stages:
Stage I –First Stage of admissions
All applications will be screened at this stage in the following manner:
- An Expert Evaluation Committee will be set up for the program to assess documents and portfolio to shortlist eligible candidates for the program.
- Admissions for some seats may be offered at this stage to applicants with exceptional performance and records
Statement of Purpose and portfolio content will be checked for plagiarism with an acceptable tolerance of zero percent.
Stage II
The assessment process for this stage will be completely online
Some candidates may be informed regarding their eligibility for scholarships and admission after Stage I*. All selected candidates will be called for an interview. The merit list for the remaining seats will be prepared on the basis of the score obtained in Stage II.
* The top scoring candidates from Stage I of evaluation will be informed about their eligibility for scholarship and admission. This will be provisional to the candidate clearing the minimum criteria set by the admission committee for the Stage II of evaluation process. It is mandatory for all eligible candidates to participate in the Stage II of admission process. |
