The institute offers both external and internal scholarships to its students based on their qualifications and scores. Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
- The MCM (Merit Cum Means) Scholarships are offered to the students in the Undergraduate Programs of Engineering & Technology or M.Sc Programs.
- Only 25% of the students are sanctioned to get this scholarship as per the institute's rules.
- Students of IIT Delhi whose annual family income or parent's gross income is up to INR 4.5 lakhs.
- An award of INR 1000 is awarded per month to the students belonging to the GEN/OBC/EWS categories and the recipients are exempted from paying the tuition fee.
- The tuition fee is exempted to all the students of the SC/ ST/ PwD category.
Research Assistance
- Research Assistance is provided to the students who are enrolled in the Ph.D. or research programs at IIT Delhi and are willing to work for the department.
- Any student enrolled in the research-based programs on a full-time basis at IIT Delhi.
- A minimum of INR 15,000 is awarded per month to students who can work about 20 hours a week.
- For the students enrolled in MS Research Programme, a sum of INR 24,000 is awarded per month to work 8 hours a week.
