Ques. What is the seat pattern for Traditional and Modern stream candidates in the BA + B.Ed course?

Ans. The integrated BA + B.Ed course has 50 sanctioned seats, along with 5 additional EWS seats. Out of the regular intake, 70% of seats, equal to 35 seats, are kept for Traditional stream candidates, while 30%, equal to 15 seats, are assigned to Modern stream candidates as per the university's admission rules.

Ques. Which languages are used for teaching and examinations at National Sanskrit University?

Ans. The medium varies by program type. Traditional Shastra courses are taught and examined only in Sanskrit. Modern subjects use English for instruction and examination, while language-specific programs use the concerned language for both classroom teaching and exams.

Ques. Is CUET PG compulsory for every PG seat at National Sanskrit University?

Ans. CUET PG is the primary route for most postgraduate admissions, and candidates with valid CUET PG scores receive first preference during merit list preparation and counselling.

RSV UG Admission 2023

National Sanskrit University formerly known as Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha offers a number of UG courses in the streams of Arts and Science under a variety of specialisations for students who have cleared their 10+2 examination.The UG courses are for a period of three years.

The admission to these UG courses are based on CUET UG Exam scores, the merit of the student considering their 10+2 examination results, and Personal Interview.

RSV PG Admission 2023

The University offers a variety of courses for the graduates willing to pursue higher education in their respective fields.

The University offers the M.A. course under three different specialisations, all for a duration of two years. It also offers M.Sc.(Master of Science), MAM (Master of Advanced Management) degrees for a duration of two years except for PG Diploma which has a period of one year.

The candidate in order to join any PG course must have attained a bachelor’s degree in the respective field. The minimum percentage requirement varies from course to course.

The admission to the PG courses are based on CUET PG, merit of the student considering their UG level examination results as well as Personal Interview.

RSV B.Ed and M.Ed Admission 2023

The Professional Programmes offered in the university are Siksha Sastri (B.Ed.) and Siksha Acharya (M.Ed.) monitored by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Duration of B.Ed. is two years, whereas, duration of M.Ed is one year.

  • For admission to B.Ed programme, candidates have to go through Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (CSSET)
  • For admission to M.Ed programme, candidates have to go through Combined Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test (CSAET)

Key Points to Note:

  1. Out of the total number of seats in Shikshashastri, reservation as per rules of the Government of India will be applicable as indicated below :
    • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste 1 5%
    • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe 7.5%
    • For otherwise able/Blind 3%
    • For children/widows of Armed Forces Personnel disabled/killed during the war/Hostilities 3%

RSV M.Phil and Ph.D Admission 2023

RSV also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D courses for research aspirants. The University offers the M.Phil programme with the duration of one year and the Ph.D. course is offered for a period of two years.

  • For admission to Ph.D programme, candidates have to go through Combined Vidya Varidhi Entrance Test (CVVET)
  • The candidates who wants admission in Ph.D. programme and have cleared NET/JRF/Lectureship test/SLET, M.Phil in Sanskrit/Education are required to pass in CVVET
