NIT Warangal MCA admission 2024 will be done as per NIMCET Score. The application process for NIMCET 2024 are expected to start in March. NIT Warangal offers 3 years MCA program. Candidates with B.Sc/B.Sc. Each semester consists of 24 credits distributed in the core and elective subjects. The total credits awarded to the MCA degree is 140.
Students are given 24 weeks to complete the project work in the 6th semester.
NIT Warangal offers the program on credit basis with the L,T and P learning process. L stands for Lecture session, T stands for tutorial session and has 1 credit allotted for the number of workshops, seminars, webinars conducted by the university for the completion of any program.
Lastly, P stands for Practical sessions two hours of practical session is equivalent to 1 credit. Students are required to submit their project work and dissertation within the stipulated time to earn credits in the final examination.

NIMCET 2023 Counselling

NIMCET 2023 Counselling process is expected to start from the first week of July. It will be an online process. Candidates have to fill their preference of institutions they want to get enrolled in.

Candidates will be provided admission on the basis of their preferences cum merit list. Selected candidates have to report to the designated centers along with the required documents.

How to apply for NIMCET?

Candidates eligible for MCA will have to take the NIMCET for selection. The process for registering is given below:

Candidates have to register on the NIMCET website by creating the login, password as instructed therein.
Fill all the details on the online form.
The last date for submitting the form is March 31.
Candidates will have to pay a fee of 2,500 INR online.
All the relevant documents should be uploaded along with the online application form.
Remember the login name, email ID, password and security question till the end of the NIMCET process.

NIT Warangal provides very good hostel facilities to first-year students among most of the Engineering students in India. The approximate cost for a hostel ranges from 1.8-2k.

Second-year students are required to stay in the Old Blocks which is not as good as the hostels of First-year students.

For Third Year students, an average hostel costing 1k is provided with pretty decent facilities.

At a glance, we can say that the hostel facilities of NIT Warangal are better than that of NIT Trichy.

My brother did his M.Tech from NITC. Here is his insight into the general placement scenario for MTech at NITs.

Over the years it has been seen that the placements for M.Tech students are comparatively less as most of the companies demand B.Tech graduates as the freshers or even experienced candidates. However, in some cases, M.Tech students are considered, like in research and development-oriented jobs. However, most industries prefer B.Tech over M.Tech.

After pursuing M.Tech your area gets narrower due to which the situation becomes very tricky for both the employers and the candidates applying for. As far as all the colleges are concerned the placement statistics are not so good for M.Tech students.

In the recent placement drives, the average CTC offered at NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy and NIT Surathkal were respectively 21 LPA, 6 LPA, and 11 LPA.

Having known some people who graduated from NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal I can say that there is no demand for either of these two subjects in the industry.

Both the colleges are of similar reputation in the industry, hence choose the one that suits your location. This will ease your transportation.

The students of these institutes opt for CSE, learn programming languages from scratch, willing to be computer engineers in the future.
They are offered salary packages ranging from 12-24 LPA, depending on their skills.
Sometimes it rises up to 50 LPA.
These companies not only check academic credentials but also their TopCoder and GitHub profiles.
Some even opt to be managers, their jobs demand and value academic credentials.
They receive salary packages ranging from 15-18 LPA.

The placements at both colleges are good. Make a calculative decision considering the field you are interested in.

Honesty, discipline, and the values of the South Indian people and the states make them stand out. This might not be making sense to you, but will definitely try to elucidate the same here. Also, opinions vary among people.

One of my friends studied at NIT Trichy and he has lived in Hyderabad as well.

According to him, 4 qualities that make any institution the best are - Hard work, discipline, humbleness, and the eagerness to learn. The people in the southern state's priorities have these factors more than the people in the northern states.
The second point to note here is that, unless and until you get to the nerves, the people in the southern states are very calm and polite to you.
Most of the people in the northern states, on the other hand, are of a rowdy attitude. Verbal abuses are common here.

The students in these institutions are dedicated to learning and so are the teachers towards teaching. Moreover, the rules and regulations are followed strictly in these institutions.

While applying to the US for an MS, are NITs (Surathkal, Trichy, Warangal) considered the same level as the new IITs?

No, NITs are definitely not considered of the same level as the new IITs while applying to the US for an MS. But, the fact that IITs are the best brand in India and the second-best brand are NITs, is well known to the admission committees of most of the institutions.

Every year, students from the top three NITs make it to top universities in the US.
With the increase in this trend, NIT Trichy, Surathkal and Warangal are known to many institutions in the US.
Besides, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the top NITs and many international institutions also are of great help to the students.
Top universities like Stanford, MIT, CMU, etc., commonly witness students from NIT Surathkal.

As some of my friends are from NIT Calicut, I might be able to share some information about the college I gathered from them.

The major reason for the diminishing NIRF ranking is its lack of proper administrative procedures during MHRD document verification.
The details about the alumni network are really poor.
Another reason is the college is trying to maintain its age-old legacy by keeping the infrastructure as it is.
They are rarely repaired, There is no construction of new buildings.
Even the facilities are old and are not replaced by modern technologies.

If you think that the drop in the rankings is because of the quality of education, faculty, or placements, let me assure you that it is not. Because NIT Calicut is still considered among the top 4 NITs.

Which is better, NIT Warangal or IIT Dhanbad?

It depends on whether you want the IIT tag or not. Even if we don’t consider the IIT tag, IIT Dhanbad will definitely be a better option. I say this based on the reviews I git from my friends at both the institutes. Here are some of the reasons why you should choose Dhanbad.

Here’s the process of NIT Trichy:

Firstly, it is close to impossible to get a seat in CSE during the primary counseling of CCMT.
Moreover, the spot round can provide you with a seat for CSE Information Security in NIT Warangal.
Furthermore, after enrolling you have an option for internal sliding rounds in which there is a probability of getting a seat in the CSE branch.
If not that, then the college itself will release the number of seats on the website for the students who are still interested in enrolling.

How does the computer science branch of BITS, Goa compare to NIT Warangal?

If you are considering pursuing a computer science engineering program, it would be suggested that you consider both BITS Pilani Goa Campus and NIT Warangal. Both colleges offer excellent CSE departments and have a great coding culture at BPGC.

NIT Warangal would be the better choice for you. This is because BITS has only three campuses in India (four if you count Dubai), while there is an NIT in every state, and admission to these colleges is governed by state quotas. As a result, BPGC has the potential to overtake every NIT, except for the top 5-7 colleges. Nonetheless, both BITS Goa and NIT Warangal are currently excellent options for pursuing CSE.

If cost is an important factor for you, NIT Warangal might be the more suitable option, as it provides relatively low-cost education. However, the decision of which college to choose ultimately depends on you, and you should take all relevant factors into account before making a decision.
