Course Information

Course Description

Flame University offers BBA and BBA (Communications Management). This is a three-year course with an optional fourth year.

The candidates who wish to apply for BBA can get specialization in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Operations, and General Management.

The BBA program is completed based on the semester system across a time frame of 18 weeks. Some programs are further divided into two terms of 9 weeks each.

Flame University BBA Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum score of 45% from a recognized board with English as one of the compulsory subjects.
The minimum requirement for International Baccalaureate students is a diploma. Students with International Baccalaureate Certificate are ineligible for admission.
In the case of Cambridge students, the minimum requirement for admission is an 'A' level certificate.
The desired candidates with an equivalent 10 + 2 qualification from a foreign university/board/institution have to submit an equivalence certificate along with the transcript of marks issued from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
Candidates currently studying in class 12 can also apply for the BBA program.
For candidates who do not wish to take FEAT, the university also accepts the scores of SAT and ACT. Any cut off for SAT/ACT is not specified by the FLAME University. The candidates with higher scores have higher chances of selection.

Flame University BBA Admission Guidelines

The admission to BBA in FLAME University is based on the performance of the candidate in the written entrance examination (FEAT) followed by an Essay and One Way Video Interview.

Flame University BBA Entrance Exam

FEAT is an online entrance examination divided into 4 sections

Verbal Ability – 40 questions (50 marks)
Reasoning Ability – 20 questions ( 40 marks)
Quantitative Ability – 20 questions (30 marks)
General Knowledge – 20 questions ( 20 marks)

All the questions of FEAT are MCQ type.

The total duration for FEAT is 120 minutes.

In the online assessment, the candidates are required to complete an essay with approximately 200-250 words. The topic will be given on the spot. Only 20 minutes will be given to complete the task.

After the completion of the FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test and Essay, One-Way Video Interview will be conducted.

A total of 3 questions will be asked. 30 seconds would be given to gather thoughts after each question and not more than 90 seconds will be given to express the answer. The total time given for One-Way Video Interview is 6 minutes.

FEAT is optional for candidates with SAT/ACT scores. Such candidates only need to sit for an Essay/ One-Way Video Interview.

The FLAME University offers a three year BBA course with an optional fourth year.

The fourth-year consists of the FLAME Scholars Program. The FLAME Scholars Program is a one-year post-graduate program to empower the students with knowledge and skills.

A minimum of 85% attendance has to be maintained by the students. The candidates who fail to fulfill these criteria are graded with a penalty and will have to repeat the course.

Flame University BBA Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to students at FLAME University, provided they fulfill the following conditions at the time of application for the scholarship:

Rank in the top 5% in their respective batch.
A minimum CGPA of 8.50
Merit-based scholarships are offered by the FLAME University to students with an excellent performance record. The scholarships are awarded for the complete duration of the program.

I have a friend at Flame university and his experience at the institute has been great. Here is a brief highlight of the institute. Academics: The academics of this college is very good and the professors are quite strict about assignments and these must be submitted by the given time. Faculties are knowledgeable and the classes conducted by them are very interactive. The combinations of major-minor are high across various subjects like business, science, humanities, performing/fine arts. Sports: The sports scenario is very good and it is mandatory for first-year students. Every week three hours of sports are compulsory for all students which occur early in the morning. Attendance: All the students are required to maintain 85% of attendance and you may end up failing if you have a lower percentage of attendance without any valid reasons. Hostel: There are separate hostels for boys and girls and the hostel facilities are very good and they are kept clean and organized and housekeeping is available on a daily basis. Rules: There are some strict rules too which every student needs to follow. Nonveg is strictly prohibited inside the campus and stuffs like alcohol and cigarettes are not allowed too. And if someone is found smoking or consuming alcohol they will have to face serious consequences and may even get suspended. Hence, Flame University can be a good choice as it provides all the modern facilities and the academic culture is nice too but there are certain strict rules like attendance which has to be followed by everyone and cannot be avoided.

One of my friends is currently pursuing his BBA degree in Communications major, thus sharing some details about the college will be easier. The placement scenario is improving each year. The batch of 2020 received 93% placement offers among top companies. Finance and Banking Sector received the highest number of offers followed by E-Commerce and Retail. The table below shows the recent placement statistics of the institute: Categories FLAME University Total Companies Visited 55 Placement Percentage 93% Highest CTC 15 LPA Average CTC 7.3 LPA Recruiting Companies CCD, Byju’s, Karvy Group, Amazon, Jaro Education, Vedanta, etc. It is certainly improving the present UG placement scenario and hopes it will continue this year to upgrade in the years ahead. The PG scenario is very different from the well-known businesses - all from Axis Bank to Zee Entertainment Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. - coming in and picking up students as new additional employees.

The academic life and student life varies for the course and the particular major and minor selected by the student. You should try reaching out to the recent pass-outs from your area of interest for real opinion and avoid any confusion. Academic life: The curriculum is rigorous. The curriculum of BBA has helped me with my CFA exam too. You will need to think out of the bound for research, assignments, and projects to score well (8+ CGPA). Effective involvement in class and good scores in surprise quizzes and semester exams will add to the interest of the academics. The liberal education taught in the first semester adds to the personality development of the student. It includes theatre, debates, sculpture, sports, dance, etc. they add skills such as communication, innovation, fitness, and stage presence. Securing passing marks is quite easy at FLAME. If you do not complicate things with faculties, bunk classes (more than 15%), or break the rules and regulations, you will not be in the position to fail. Students need to pay quite a few bucks to retake exams. Student Life: The infrastructure and dorm facilities are great. The food served in the mess is vegetarian and the quality is average. There are small food joints outside the college campus for students who want to eat Non-vegetarian. Students can take part in various clubs such as VAJR Consulting Club, Dance Club, FLAME Investment Lab. The institute organizes annual Inter College Fests and Intra College Fest. Students wait eagerly for such events. Sometimes surprise inspections of the rooms are done to check if any illegal activities are going on. The students learn to deal and stay with people from different backgrounds and enjoy their college life. You will be among brilliant peers. The campus placements for undergraduates are not that good. However, the institute prepares the students enough to find a job on their own. The other problems that you will come across at FLAME are trivial and common for most institutions.
