- Professors are very helpful and try to help us if we have any problem.
- Cleanliness is maintained in college everyday.
- Hostel and mess is also maintained properly everyday.
Dislikes
- They charge fees to conduct various programs even if we are not participating in the program.
- College canteen (not hostel mess) needs some improvement in hygeine and cleanliness.
Remarks :
I could not get a good rank in KCET, so i tried to get a management seat in N.M.A.M Institute of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. Unfortunately, they did not have any seats left for CSE branch, and since I was running out of time, I immediately applied for a seat in the next best college i.e MITE. In order to get admission into this college, first you have to fill out a form with all your details, and then pay the fees for your respective course and other things. Many students get a seat in this college through competitive exams like KCET, COMED-K, Management, and Lateral entry (from second year onwards). Overall the admission process is satisfactory at best.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most sought-after courses in the current scenario. That's why I also chose this course. The curriculum constantly changes to keep up with the fast-growing world. However, due to the impact of coronavirus pandemic, the college is trying to complete the 3rd and 4th semester for all of us 2023 batch students in just 4-5 months, so that we can be in pace with the seniors too.
Internships Opportunities :
I am still in first year as of now, so I do not know much about the internships and the companies that participate and all. I also do not know much about the stipend the companies pay, and the projects and outcomes of the internships.
Placement Experience :
Students became eligible for placements after 6th semester. Compared to last year, the results of this year's placement were not good, probably due to the current market scenario. Only a few students got placed in companies this year, and, according to my current knowledge, the highest package received by a student this year was ?36lpa by a Japanese company, and the student is from Civil Engineering. This package is the highest package the college has ever received.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For computer science and engineering, Skill lab fees: ?15,000 College fees: ?2,50,750 (for me) Hostel fees: ?80,000 Hostel mess fees: ?45,100 In case you get detained in any course, Fees to reapply for that one course: ?5,000 Fees for report card for that course: ?250 Fees for re-examination in that particular course: ?1,000 per subject
Campus Life :
There are a wide range of books to choose from the library. There are 2 libraries in the main block, the ground floor library and first floor library. The ground floor library is for senior students, while the first floor library is for first year students. There are a couple of events held at the college like Sentia, Kampana, and many more. Sentia is typically held in March, while Kampana is typically held during October-November months. The facilities and technological provisions in the classrooms are good, but sometimes, in some classes, the AC does not work properly, especially during the summer. There are many clibs like euphoria, etc, where students can participate and showcase their talents.
Hostel Facilities :
The room is pretty standard, all the basic things are available in the room. The meal quality and menu varies a lot. Sometimes the food is good, while sometimes the food served is dry, too oily, etc. The registration process for hostel is mostly the same as that of college admission process, and it is affordable to an extent (according to me).
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio is mostly 1:15. It varies from class-to-class depending on the number of students in each class. The faculties can be approached at any time either directly in the college or by other means like Whatsapp. The relationship between the faculties and students is mostly good. Most of the faculties are actually very kind. There are approximately 7 courses in each semester and their difficulty varies from person to person. Approximately 150 students fail at the end of the semester, after which they apply for re-examination in the particular course(s) in which they failed.

From the 7th semester student start getting placed in companies around 50 companies visit our college providing opportunities over 1000 offers . Highest package of our college is 61 lakhs per annum and an average package of 7 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed is above 85 percentage. Placements are very good and are improving more and more....I recently got to know from my python professor that in our cse dept there are like companies like capegmini and phonepe training students for placement and they may select 60 for job...so yeah placements are good there are multiple companies always visiting our campus for placement drives... recently even oracle visited the campus and also conducted an interactive session for 1st and 4th year students how to approach a job

The syllabus is quite old and I think we should be taught a modern syllabus. The time for the exam is not sufficient and the syllabus is to big and quite some difficult, the teaching facilities can be modernization and using modern technology
