Likes
- the faculty is really good, most of them are the authors of books themselves
- the attendance criteria being on the lower more manageable side is good. but it used to be better pre covid time
- they give emphasis to extracurriculars which is nice for students as it helps maintain a well rounded ], balanced college experience. gives students platform to showcase their talents
Dislikes
- the new education policy while it has introduced some good changes, i feel it hasnt been implemented that well (points mentioned below) -
- the idea of vac, sec, aec is good but it doesnt make sense to give 4 hours in a week to a paper that is only worth 2 credits especially when the core subjects also only get 4 hours and they are worth 4credits
- making hindi compulsory is also a bad move. especially in the case of bap bcus for them hindi is compulsory as a ge subject which is worth 4 credits and marks that have such high weightage shouldnt have papers that are not the students choice.
Remarks :
highschool graduate, you need to give the cuet exams, minimum 4 papers (including one language) bcus they will check the score for english and best 3 subjects. the entire applicaion is to be done through the csas portal and all the payments are also to be made there only. yes reservation is available it might help you get into desired college even if your marks fall a little bit short of the cut off mark.
Course Curriculum Overview :
absolutely love my course. it really aligns with my interests and these subjects complement each other also really well. the curriculum is also very good. the syllabus for english can include a few more books in my opinion. exams are also quite easy to clear provided student is in touch with the material.
Internships Opportunities :
our college does have a placement cell but the internship oppurtunities are not that good and they rarely have stipend. although this yea the principle is hoping to providde internship to all the students and she is working closely with ngos to accomplish this
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
im not aware of any scholarships. but fees are around 34k per year for my course which is bap (english + psychology). fees are same for all regardless of category as far as i have observed. but the fees vary from course to course, other programmes which do not have lab classes have fees around 26-28k. whereas technical courses like multimedia and mass communications have fees around 1.5lakhs per year.
Campus Life :
societies and inter colleges fests in du is done very well, however the societies in my college are a little inactive so keep that in mind incase you are motivated to join bcus of a particular society/hobby. library books are easily accessible and the variety is also good. sports are also well maintained with morning practice sessions that start an hour before classes
Faculty :
faculty to student ratio is good. most teachers are quite approachable and they are usually more than willing to help out with doubts assignments etc. all of them either have a phd or are pursuing one, if its the later then they are not part of the permanent faculty. some of them have more than one phd.
Interview Experience :
no interview or group discussion, but we had to give an entrance test - CUET. criteria for admission is quite basic - 12th graduate and cuet scores prepared with ncert books of 12th standard. although interview is required if you are applying for christian colleges like stephens, jmc

course curriculum is well designed and covers most of the important topics. It helps in building good basics but I feel more practical exposure and industry related subjects should be added. Exams are held every semester with internals and if you study regularly they are not too difficult to clear.

I choose history because i just wanted to know about our past and because im really fascinated towards history. My college not only my college the whole delhi university needs to introduce new subjects related to archaeology as there is only history as a subject in this field. Being such a prestigious university i think new courses are needed to be introduced. Apart from that colleges should start focusing on research work for example taking students on a field trip monthly.

I am studying in this college and I think the course is okay. The teachers are good and they help us a lot. But sometimes I feel like the classes are boring and I don't understand some things. The good thing is that we get to do some practical work and that helps me to understand better. The teachers also give us assignments and projects which helps us to learn more. But I think the course could be better. Sometimes I feel like we are not learning enough and some topics are not covered properly. I also think that the exams are too frequent and it's hard to study for them. I wish the teachers could make the classes more interesting and interactive. I also wish we had more resources like books and computers to help us learn better. Overall, I think the course is average. It's not too bad but it could be better. I hope the college will make some changes to make it more interesting and helpful for us.
