- Attendance is very strict. Sometimes whenever we are sick we will think twice before taking leave because of Attendance.
- No girls hostel inside campus for btech and psychology
Remarks :
The student has to have 50% in the previous board exam. The students has to take an entrance exam and if you get the cut-of marks you will be able to attend the interview. The application form, fee structure, dates an be found in the CHRIST university official website. There will be CIA'S conducted every one month which consists of individual and group assignments and a mid-term exam. One thing i personally found which needed improvement was all the students were sent a mail saying that they weren't selected for the course but got the provisional admission letter after few days
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is well structured with biology, psychology, and statistics and also offers other multi-disciplinary courses. During the first year, we were provided multi-disciplinary subjects and after completing the first year, we had to do a one-month internship. During the second year, we were offered swayam courses, Value added courses, and other skill enhancing courses. The curriculum also has CIA's every one month and helps us prepare for real-world situation. The university has also introduced Learner Centric approach from this year.
Internships Opportunities :
The psychology students are required to do a one-month internship in whichever place they want. The university also offers internships to various btech departments with or without stipend. The college had provided various seminars making us familiar to various internship opportunities outside or inside bangalore. There is a Christ consultancy club which provides internships.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In CHRIST (deemed to be University), for the programm BSc. Psychology (Hons.) You will have to pay 130000 each year. If you become eligible for 4rth year, you will have to pay 145000. The registration fee is 5000 Rs. The fee for the programme BTech is 2.1 lakh. For NRI category, for btech the fee is 2.2 lakh
Campus Life :
The fests include darpan, bhasha utsav, Magnificat, magnovite , blossoms and sound curry. Each department provided its own flagships event where the campus would be filled with fun and learning. The university has its own sports team, band , cultural team. Univeristy provided various opportunities to excel within various fields be it sports or arts. The university also has various clubs which helps in skill enhancement like CSA, CAPS and various departmental clubs and associations. The library in campus provided n number of books, journal, textbooks etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Inside campus only boys and MBA, Architecture girls are given accomodation in Kengeru campus. Apart from that university offers accommodation for girls in the nearby hostels. There are many PG's ,hostels or apartments near campus. You can take admission from there during the time of joining campus. The fee structre of these are normally affordable and food and meal quality in the hostel where i stay is good.
Faculty :
Most faculty members are very approachable and highly qualified. All the faculties in the department have PhD. You can approach them with any problem you have at any time be it academics-related or other personal issues.

Our curriculum is designed at the same level as some of the top universities known for this course. It is well detailed and comprehensive and is very easy to understand. It is both practical and application based as well. The theory is also up to date. The timing of the exams are based on how long the semester is. Usually odd semesters are short and even semesters are long. The exam timings are okay usually. The difficulty level is easy for MCQ, medium for midterms and medium to difficult for finals.

Special aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose the course is the availability of honours degree, encouragement of research, exposure to conferences and seminars, exposure to diverse cultures etc. Exams and assesments are well organised. There are four assessments that will contribute to one's gpa in a semester. The difficulty level is moderate to high. Recieving high marks is hard. You will have to work on projects and exams. Sometimes it gets very hectic and stressful but it trains us for real world competition and expertise.

Course Curriculum Overview :
Christ University's focus on the scientific aspects of Psychology was what encouraged me to join the course. The curriculum gives you as much real world exposure as possible through field visits and such. The only thing I'd change about the curriculum is the difficulty of exams. More often than not, they are at completely different level than our syllabus. Since we have exams only twice a semester it works out perfectly.
