I didn't apply to any other colleges. I was recommended this college by my cousin who is an alumnus of this college. This university has a great reputation for Forensic Science and that made me choose this college. The admission process is tedious, with applying, then there's this online JET exam which is their own entrance exam with basic PCMB and language questions. It is followed by a short interview for final selection. The paper work is kind of tedious. There's an of paying in installments with Liquiloans, a company the university has partnered with. The overall admission process was okay not that difficult.
Our curriculum is designed at the same level as some of the top universities known for this course. It is well detailed and comprehensive and is very easy to understand. It is both practical and application based as well. The theory is also up to date. The timing of the exams are based on how long the semester is. Usually odd semesters are short and even semesters are long. The exam timings are okay usually. The difficulty level is easy for MCQ, medium for midterms and medium to difficult for finals.
I study in Jain University, School of Sciences, currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science. My year- wise fee is 1,80,000/- which is also my tution fee. For the first year however I had to pay a total of 2 lakhs, with 20,000 being my registration fees which is just one time. Details of other charges have not been mentioned to us. My total fee for the whole course would add up to 5,60,000/- .The fees is same for all the categories and it's the same for all my batchmates of all the other categories. Although there is a system of scholarship but I don't have much idea on it.
There are two major fests conducted in our university. One is interdepartment and one is intercollegiate fest. Aside from these there are events and activities being held all year round. The intercollegiate fest is the major annual fest called Nexus and interdepartment fest is called Anveshna. There's a wide range of books available in the library and they are quite accessible to all. There's a projector in every classroom. There's a central AC but it doesn't work most of the times. There are many other social clubs in the university with 4 language clubs, and all the departments have their own forums, we also have sports and eco club. University overall supports extra curricular activities but not that much with most students having exams during fests and other things. All this does have a good impact in n student life because it teaches you all the social, management, organising and PR skills needed in day to day life.
I have lived in the hostel provided by the university which is not worth the money and the facilities do not give justice to the huge sum we pay. The other hostel which I live in quite affordable and good. It's right behind the college and the meals are very diverse and hygienic. But it's just that only the girls belonging to Jain religion can take admission in this hostel. Rooms are three sharing and the new construction has four sharing. The rooms are equipped with AC, two washrooms, fans, a small balcony, two dressing table and a study table for each bed.
The faculty quality is mixed here. Some faculties are really experienced in their subjects and their teaching is effective. They know what they are teaching and are really knowledgeable in their subject and profession. They are professional in professional setting and quite approachable when in need. The exam level is medium.

There aren't much placements for the course I am pursuing, because in psychology people usually prefer to go ahead with further higher studies instead of directly going for a job after Bachelors. I personally would also do a Masters after my graduation.

The placements are very good compared to other colleges. Companies like GoldmanSachs and DeShaw come for placement opportunities. There are about 75 companies visiting offering over 200 jobs yearly. The highest package would be 20LPA and average being 8LPA. 40 percent students get placements I plan on sitting for placements
