- IGNOU provides Easy to access ODL which really helpful.
- You simply register yourself, they send the books and you give the exam. Very easy
- It is really simple to re-register and it atmost takes 10 minutes
Dislikes
- Really complicated system to submit assignments.
- No clear information is given about examination.
- The authorities are not so helpful to new students who are unaware of their system
Remarks :
The admission process was very easy and the eligibility criteria were very low making it easier for everyone to pursue any field to their liking. Application dates, form, fees can found on their official website: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/ The reservation benefits are the same as other colleges but it is a bit easier to avail the benefits The exam timing are also very helpful for ODL students as the exams will be held twice a year so students can give the exams on either July or December. Also if you can't give exams on both July and December you can easily give it next year. Admission process is really easy so no improvement required there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The descision making for the course I opted was solely mine but as I progressed through the course I found out that new students were a bit confused about the curriculum. To improve such curriculum the authorities should be more actively engaged with new students to enhance their teaching and learning methods. The difficulty of the examination is the same as other colleges and the students do prepare for the exams as other college students do.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise fees is 5500rs In general or esw it costs 5500rs yearly My batchmates pay the same fees as me A monthly scholarship of INR 5000 will be provided to students enrolled in the M. Phil programme, while a financial assistance of INR 8000 per month will be provided to those pursuing a Ph. D.
Campus Life :
No typical festivals are being held in IGNOU since 2019 but after some contacts I came to that their graduation ceremony would take place Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre. The students of IGNOU are not so active in social groups or extracurricular activities.
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio is very less and it does not affect the learning experience because most of the students prefer ODL instead of joing lectures. As the teachers' salary at IGNOU is lesser than other teachers in India so it does affect their teaching and mentorship Yes if a student attends any lecture they can clear their doubts so it's more or less the same as other colleges.

Courses at IGNOU are generally easy to access but tougher to complete because the education being an open college is the same and the difficulty is also the same So people thing open college exams are easy, they are wrong.
