Great college for local students
Likes
- Campus is easily accessible to local students as well as students from neighbouring cities.
- Campus is great and infrastructure as well as technologies are up to date.
- Indrustrial and real life applications are given huge preference.
Dislikes
- Local crowd is huge and most of them are not interested in academics.
- Attendance is a huge issue as you cant give exams if it is below 75%
- Many huge tech companies dont visit campus and even if they do, no student get placed
Remarks :
No need to worry about eligibilty, if you have passed your 12th you will surely get admission. Just submit the fees and documents. No entrance exam is requires. There are mostly direct admissions. Process is very simple.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum and teaching method should be revised as they are very old and sometimes not even match the basic industrial requirement. More industrial oriented subject should be introduced in the curriculum and labs should get more weightage.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I think course fee is reasonable. If i talk about campus placements, many companies visit campus but most of them are of sales and because of recession many mass recruiters did not visit our campus this year. But some seniors get really great package off campus.
Campus Life :
Campus life is moderate, dont expect too much. There are some clubs and societies that you can join, clubs are both technical and cultural with very simple selection process. Sports and extracurricular activities are also get a lot of encouragement.
Faculty :
Moat of the faculty is under qualified and can not care less for their subject. but some of the professors are very interactive and helpful as far as academics is concerned, but every student cant get the attention.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I like this course because this having much ecompetetion in this field and i likely to choose competetions much better and i also know too handle them. -I think they had to worlk on their sylllabus curriculum anmd university propspectus . -Exams are coming at a moderate level form the syllabus and itrs very rare to come other things out of syllabus.

Placement Experience :
after 5th to 6th semester students became eligible for campus placement. many companies visit the college like Calvin Klein, daffodils, boon, capitalvia, yhills, byjus, jio,etc. in 2024 12lpa was highest package offered by company boon. average package was 4.5 to 5lpa, more than 90% students get placed in companies, i want to pursue higher post graduate after completion of my course

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like wipro, tcs visits every year Average placement here is 6 lacs. About 80% of students gets placed every year but placement record needs to be grow
Overall good college
Placement Experience :
College provide campus placements but it also depends on the scene of recession. Average package is 4 lakh per annum. I want campus placements but if not then I'll try off campus . And the college do not claim any certain amount of percentage that how many percent of students got placement .
Light on Life at UPES
Placement Experience :
Currently, the placements start about a month after you enter your final year. I obviously don't have any official data regarding which company come and which don't but some of the notable ones I heard that came this year are D.E Shaw, Decathlon, Infosys, Intel etc. The highest recorded package as mentioned by the college for CS is 50 LPA and the average for the same is about 8 LPA. Percentage of students who got placed this year was a bit less, like most of the colleges this year. I plan to take up a job and after gaining some experience, would love to get a second degree
