Because it is located in Chhattisgarh's industrial area, various cement and steel industries visit the campus, providing enormous opportunities regardless of college rankings as shown on the Internet.

- Quality of Education: NIT might provide a better quality of education as it is an NIT.
- Placement: Big brands like JP Morgan, Arcesium, Microsoft, etc., visit PEC for campus placement. NIT Raipur attracts a lot of PSUs such as HPCL, Coal India Ltd., BPCL, etc., since Raipur is the center of the mining and manufacturing industry.
- Living Standard: Chandigarh as well as Raipur, are good places to live in.
So, join PEC for ECE or CSE. For mechanical, metallurgy, or mining, NIT Raipur will be better.
