What are my chances of getting into IIM Ahmedabad as a fresher?

A number of IIM Ahmedabad students have zero to one year work experience.
But as a fresher, you’ll be expected to have a good academic record. Other than that, you should have some extracurricular achievements, some national/state level awards, or anything else that makes you stand out.
People with work experience are prioritized. But with good academic scores, some extracurricular achievements, and a good performance in CAT and GDs, your chances of getting selected will be high.
You have a good chance of getting admission into IIM Ahmedabad. Each batch profile has around 25% of freshers. So, you will get to meet many freshers on campus. There are also many companies that recruit freshers through IIM Ahmedabad.
So, focus on getting a good percentile in CAT to secure admission into IIM Ahmedabad.
You can get admission to IIM Ahmedabad even if you are a fresher. One of my friends is an IIM Ahmedabad alumni. More than one-third of the students in her batch were freshers. Though students with work experience have an advantage as IIMA assigns certain weightage to work experience for shortlisting.

If you have a good academic record, decent CAT score, and something in your CV that makes you stand out among the aspirant, that will help your profile a lot.
One of my friends is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and in his batch almost 20 percent of students were freshers. And if you sum up the students with 1 year of experience (who are also freshers by definition) the number will go up to one-third of the entire batch. So, there is a good chance that someone with no working experience can get into IIMA as a fresher.
When you have very little job experience there are some conditions to be fulfilled to get into IIM A. As a fresher, you need to have a great academic history throughout your previous course. Anything that makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd will increase your chance of getting selected in IIM A.
Extracurricular activities or a few state/national awards will make your profile better. If you have a clear advantage in academics and have done well in your entrance exams and GD then you will have higher chances of being selected in the IIM Ahmedabad.
