How is the IIM Ahmedabad HEC Paris double degree structured?

IIM Ahmedabad HEC Paris Double Degree program requires students to spend two terms abroad. Students enrolled in this double degree program have access to hundreds of electives. These electives can be broadly categorized into 13 subject areas. These electives include in-class courses, field courses, independent study, etc. Students need to complete around 15.50-18.50 credits.
I have a friend studying at IIM Ahmedabad and here is his input regarding the program.
- Structure: The first year you would spend, would be at IIM Ahmedabad and your second year would be spent at HEC.
- Criteria for selection: There is a list of ranks that are made which depends upon how active you have participated in extracurriculars along with your academic GPA. Following that, they open the exchange seats for all the candidates who are willing to take part, and then there is a counseling session which follows. This way, you can select on the basis of your rank and the seats that are available.
- Batch strength: This factor falls on the Memorandum of Understanding shared between HEC and IIM Ahmedabad. The number varies with each passing year. Nevertheless, the number is less and the opportunity goes to a handful of people.
