National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam is conducted every year by NIFT. NIFT 2015 entrance exam is scheduled to be on February 8 and 22, 2015. Exam comprises of two types of test- Creative ability test (CAT) and General Ability test (GAT). Two tests are administered under this- paper based test and computer based test. On February 8, 2015 there is only paper based test whereas on February 22, 2015 there will be both tests.

Many students appear for this competitive exam every year to get enrolled in design courses offered by the different campuses of the institute. Campuses are in these locations- Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Gandhi nagar, Hyderabad, kannuar, kolkatta, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Rae- Bairely, Shillong, Kerala, Karnataka, Kangra, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar. Maximum seats are in New Delhi campus i.e. 295 seats.

Students must have prepared well for the exam. Result of NIFT 2015 will be declared in month of May, 2015. Candidates can check the result online.

Know About NIFT Counselling

After this there will be another selection rounds. Selected candidates will be called up for group discussion, personal interview. Then final result will be released and counseling process of shortlisted candidates will be done.

Group discussion and personal interview are based on case study. Duration of group discussion is around 15 to 20 minutes on topic assigned by the panel of experts. They will assess the students on following factors:-

• Contribution made to the topic
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to generate new ideas
• Problem solving approach
• Leadership qualities
• Effective communication
