NIFT (NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM) 2025 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
NIFT 2022 Exam Pattern consists of CAT (Creative Aptitude Test ), GAT (General Ability Test), and GD/PI. Candidates appearing for B.Des and M.Des have to appear for CAT and GAT while those appearing for B.FTech and M.FTech will have to appear only for GAT. Moreover, B.Des and M.Des candidates will be further called the Situation Test. NIFT 2022will be conducted on 6 February 2022.

NIFT 2022 Entrance Exam will be held in 3 stages beginning with GAT followed by CAT. General Ability Test or GAT is a written test for all the 5 courses offered by NIFT. GAT is the first test for selection for B.Des and M.Des courses. After clearing GAT, B.Des and M.Des students are required to qualify CAT. Applicants who cleared both the written tests will be eligible for Situation Test followed by Group Discussion/ Personal Interview. GAT is the only selection test for B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech and MFM.

NIFT syllabus comprises Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge and Current affairs. Syllabus for both the GAT and CAT test is different and the same has been mentioned below.
Quantitative Ability: Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work & Task, Ratio & Proportion, and Distance
Communication Ability and English Comprehension: Synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular, plural, one-word substitutes, idioms & phrases, correct spellings
