By the end of April 2015, candidates can check all the details related to NIFT Counselling Procedure like the mode of counselling, date, procedure etc. on the website www.nift.ac.in. Applicants should keep themselves updated with any new information, news on the website.

Successful candidates need to attend the counseling process. After clearing the qualifying examination, candidates need to have scanned copy of several documents and certificates for process of admission. After verification, all the original certificates will be returned to students.

Things necessary for the NIFT 2015 Counselling:

• Original documents are 10^th and 12^th standard mark-sheets and certificates. If candidate is seeking admission in post graduate courses, then he/she need to bring certificates of qualifying degree examination.
• If a student has appeared in final year then he/she must bring mark-sheets of previous years. If a student has been appearing in qualifying examination and result has not been declared yet then he/she must present admit card/date sheet as a proof.
• Students need to carry scanned copy all the required certificates in pen-drive or CD in order to upload it on NIFT server during counselling.
• They must carry Bank draft of fee in favor of NIFT HO or proof of electronic fund transfer to NIFT HO. On the back of this, you need to write your name, date of counselling, mobile number, name of programme, category, roll number, rank. They should also have proof of their date of birth. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH category must have required certificates.
• If any of above document is not in English/Hindi, then as the authentic translation in English/Hindi should be produced duly verified by the issuing institution/gazetted officer / Self attested (original and photocopy) by the candidate at the time of Counselling. If candidate fails to bring requisite authentic translation then his admission will be cancelled.

Qualifying the entrance examination does not ensure the admission of candidate. In case NIFT is not contented with character, past behavior of candidate, then it may lead to refusal of his/her admission by the institute.

Check NIFT Selection Process

In case, it is found at later stages that the applicant's admission to any of the course in a campus is on the false basis then his admission would be cancelled. Candidate needs to report to join the course offered at the allotted campus. It should be within ten days of starting of session. If candidate fails to do that, his admission would be cancelled without providing any intimation.

Candidates should ensure on their own that they are eligible and fulfill all other required criteria for admission. If it is found that at alter stages candidate does not fulfill any criteria, his admission will be cancelled.

Merit is valid for only the course opted by applicant and it cannot be used for admission to other programmes.
