NTA released the CMAT 2020 Response Sheet and Question Paper on the CMAT portal on January 29, 2020. Candidates who have taken the exam will be able to check the same by visiting the official website i.e. cmat.nta.nic.in by using their Application Number and Date of Birth / Password.

Candidates can use the response sheet and question paper to calculate their probable CMAT score and analyze their chances of getting shortlisted for the next round of admission. Candidates can challenge the answer key until 5PM on February 2, 2020. All answer key objections will be processed prior to the release of the official CMAT 2020 Result on February 7, 2020. CMAT 2020 was successfully conducted on January 28, 2020 in 104 cities through CBT mode. The examination witnessed participation on a grand scale as more than 74,486 candidates registered for the exam.

Unlike CMAT 2019, there was only one slot for CMAT 2020, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The general review was that the overall exam was easier compared to CMAT 2019. Candidates reported facing the most difficulty in the General Awareness section as the students claimed that it included a lot of ambiguity. Candidates were able to attempt questions according to their preferences as there was no sectional time limit present during the examination.

The language comprehension section only included 1 Reading Comprehension passage which included 6 questions. In total there were 19 verbal ability questions based on synonyms, antonyms, phrases, fill in the blanks, parajumble, error spotting and correct spelling. The section was situated on the easy-moderate range of difficulty. A good attempt would lead to 20-21 questions being answered.

CMAT 2020 included quantitative questions from a wide variety of topics. Candidates did not have to spend all of their time on questions that involved a lot of calculations. There were questions from Numbers, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Geometry, Probability, Sets and Venn Diagrams, Mensuration, P&C, and Algebra. A good attempt would lead to 21-22 questions being answered.

There was only one family tree set that included 4 questions within its purview. The questions were mainly derived from coding-decoding, series, cubes, venn diagrams, visual diagrams, analogies, odd man out, and syllogism. Verbal reasoning included 4 questions in total. A good attempt would lead to 20-22 questions being answered.

Out of the 25 questions present in this section, 24 of them were based on Static GK. 14 out of the 25 questions were termed as easy, while 4 were deemed moderate and 7 difficult. A good attempt would lead to 14-16 questions being answered.

CMAT 2019 was conducted in two slots between 9:30 to 12:30 pm and again from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam was labelled moderate on the range of difficulty as all the questions derived from the given syllabus. More than 64,000 candidates sat for the exam and had the opportunity to apply to all AICTE approved MBA/PGDM programs across the country.
Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
The difficulty level for Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation section was Moderate. Questions were asked from Arithmetic, Numbers, Geometry, Modern Math, Algebra and Data Interpretation.
Logical Reasoning
Logical Reasoning section comprised of 25 questions of moderate difficulty level with some complex questions. Questions were from Data Sufficiency, Analogy, statement assumptions, Blood relations, family tree, Deductive Logic, Venn diagrams, statement assumptions, analogy, Syllogisms.
Language Comprehension
Comprehension has been a bit complex to answer. Tasks included reading Comprehension paragraphs and answer questions.
General Awareness
This section has been very difficult for the candidates as compared to CMAT Previous Year Question Papers. Questions ranged from different aspects of covering Indian polity, Current Affairs, etc.
NTA doesn’t release an official CMAT Cut off. However, it can be obtained from other sources like coaching institutes, colleges, etc.
