The Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine discipline was founded in the year 2003 along with the establishment of Faculty of Medicine UiTM in Jalan Othman, Petaling Jaya. The discipline embarked on the knowledge dissemination journey with a humble number of just two biochemistry professors. At present, the discipline has strived further to having thirteen lecturers with various specializations in biochemistry and molecular medicine subjects. The members are always in pursuit of excellence while thriving under the Basic Medical Science Cluster.

The study of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine in the MBBS curriculum is of ?paramount importance as it deals with the biochemical processes in living things with emphasis on the basic knowledge of molecular biology. It is a pivotal foundation for the medical students in becoming highly motivated and accomplished medical professionals. Respectively, members of the Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine discipline aspire in delivering the knowledge to the pre-clinical students to our best effort and commitment.
