International Islamic University is a public institute rated 4 stars and ranked 601 by QS 2021. With an acceptance rate of 35% getting into the university is competitive. Around 6,159 international students seeking to study in Malaysia are enrolled in various bachelor's, master’s, and doctoral degrees courses offered through its 14 faculties. IIUM follows a semester-based intake and accepts applications for the first, second, and third academic sessions. Currently, applications are only open for the third intake till November 20, 2021.

Aspirants planning to take admission at International Islamic University can apply directly to the university via UPU online or the IIUM e-Admission portal. IIUM has six campuses in Malaysia out of which two are medical-centric campuses, two city campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Centre for Foundation Studies in Kuantan, Pahang, and a language-centric campus in Pagoh, Johor. As per student reviews on IIUM, the campus has all the state-of-the-art facilities required for the overall development of students. It also provides accommodation to 80% of full-time undergraduates while rooms allotted to postgraduate students depend on their availability. But, new students always have priority over others.

The university has five libraries on the five campuses, with the Main Library at the Gombak campus.

International Islamic University Admissions

The university offers four years of UG degree course and two years of PG degree. Candidates can apply directly to the university after paying an application processing fee. Selected candidates will receive a confirmation email and will be able to access their application account to view the offer letter. For any PG degree, a minimum of CGPA 2.75 is compulsory. To be considered for a UG program at IIUM, a student must be under the age of 21.

English Language Proficiency Tests Requirements

The IIUM teaching is conducted in English and Arabic depending on the program of study. The university only accepts, IELTS and TOEFL iBT/PBT/CBT. Students wanting to study in English-language programs must get the below score. However, the minimum marks for UG and PG varies:
