Due to the large data set that an analyst has to deal with, this programme equips students with programming skills, simulation techniques and computational problem-solving techniques. Realising the importance of training graduates in an interdisciplinary environment, it also offers modules in professional writing and presentation skills to enhance students? communication of their ideas.

Students are introduced to fundamental concepts and theorem in mathematics such as calculus, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, probability and statistics. Also, trained with current programming/software technologies including C/C++, java, MATLAB, R, SAS etc.

Students get to acquire industry relevant technologies by application in the form of assignments, laboratory work, final year projects and on-the-job industrial internship.
