Diagnostic radiographers are responsible for providing safe, rapid and accurate diagnostic imaging examinations in a wide range of clinical situations, using a range of imaging modalities and techniques so that appropriate management and treatment of patients and clients may proceed. They are also responsible for the physical and psychosocial well-being of patients whilst in their care. Radiography encompasses a number of sub-specialties, notably computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound including Doppler imaging, nuclear medicine and interventional practice.
