The specific objectives of the M.Ed. programme are to:
- Provide training in educational research in order to enable students to gain exposure and training in the different methods of research. This will allow them to conduct research in various educational setting.
- Produce graduates in educational areas who have wide understanding of various issues in the system, social and administrations of educational organization.
Produce educationist who possess the skills to undertake research in the field of curriculum, evaluation and psychometric, educational administrations and management, sciences and mathematics education, guidance and counselling, educational psychology, language education including the teaching of Bahasa Malaysia and English (TESOL), educational sociology, educational planning and policy, educational humanities and social science, comparative education, computer assisted learning, physical education, preschool and primary education, multimedia in education, distance education and many more contemporary educational concerns.
