    WB JECA 2023 Exam Pattern had revised. As per the new exam pattern, WB JECA 2023 will have a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions and the total duration of the exam will be 2 hours.     WB JECA 2023 Exam Pattern

    WB JECA 2023 will be conducted on May 15, 2023. As per the revised WB JECA 2023 Exam Pattern, the test will be conducted in one paper only. The question paper will have a total of 100 questions and the total duration of WB JECA 2023 exam will be 2 hours. The question paper will be divided into two sections, Category I with a total of 80 questions carrying 1 mark each while Category II will have a total of 20 questions with 2 marks each.

    WB JECA 2023 Marking Scheme

    As per the new WB JECA 2023 exam pattern, the correct answer in Category I will provide 1 mark while the correct answer in Category II will give 2 marks each. A penalty of 1/4 marks (0.25) will be deducted for every wrong answer. Category wise marking scheme is provided below. 

    Category I:

    • Only one option is correct. 
    • The correct option will yield a 1 mark. 
    • An incorrect option will yield a negative marking of 0.25 mark. 
    • For any combination of more than one option, even if it contains the correct options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield a negative marking of 0.25 marks. 
    • Not attempting the question will fetch 0 marks. 

    Category II: 

    • One or more options are correct. 
    • Marking all correct options only will yield 2 marks. 
    • For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield a 0 mark even if one or more of the chosen options are correct. 
    • For partially correct answers, i.e., when all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options are marked, marks awarded = 2 x (no. of correct options marked/ (total no. of actually correct options)
    • Not attempting the question will fetch 0 marks.
