For the ICSE Class 10th Exam 2023, CISCE has decided to reduce the syllabus for English language and Indian language courses along with other 15 subjects including History, Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc. The reduced syllabi are available on the official website of CISCE under ‘Publication’s tab’.

ICSE Class 10th Syllabus is divided into 3 Groups:
Group 1: 80% External + 20% Internal Evaluation

In this section we discuss subject-wise syllabus for a few of the prominent topics of ICSE Class 10th.
ICSE 10th Syllabus for English includes two papers namely, English Language and Literature. Both papers comprise 100 marks each including 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. Ans. Along with the syllabus for other classes, syllabus for class 10th has also been reduced for subjects including English and Indian Languages, History & Civics, Geography etc.
Ques. What is the total number of Subjects required to attempt in ICSE Class 10th Syllabus?
Ans.: Each student needs to have a total of 6 subjects including both compulsory and optional topics selected from the ICSE Class 10th Syllabus.
Ques. Will the internal assessment be carried out for all subjects?
Ans. Yes, as per the CISCE marking scheme, every exam with weightage of 80 marks will have an internal assessment of 20 marks added to compute the total score out of 100.
