DU JAT 2026 (Discontinued): CUET UG Route for BMS, BBA FIA and BBE

DU JAT is not conducted in 2026. Students seeking admission to Delhi University's Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), BBA in Financial Investment Analysis and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics now take CUET UG and then complete the university's separate CSAS UG process. The old test name still appears in searches, question-paper archives and some college pages, but it is not an application route.

DU JAT is discontinued. Do not wait for a separate application, admit card or examination date.

Is DU JAT Conducted in 2026?

There is also no DU JAT 2026 admit card, no DU JAT 2026 result and no DU JAT 2026 cutoff. CUET produces the examination score; DU's Common Seat Allocation System handles programme-college choices and seat allocation.

DU JAT to CUET: What Changed?

DU JAT was the familiar name for the joint admission test used for BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics. In the 2021 cycle, NTA conducted it within DUET UG. Delhi University changed its undergraduate admission system in 2022-23: candidates took CUET and then entered the Common Seat Allocation System for DU admission.

This change makes two checks essential. The CUET subjects must match the programme rule, and the candidate must still register with Delhi University after taking CUET. A CUET score alone does not place a student in the DU allocation pool.

Courses Once Covered by DU JAT

The old JAT paper served three related but different undergraduate programmes. Their admission combination is now the same, but the academic direction is not.

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS): a broad management programme covering functions such as finance, marketing, human resources, strategy and global business.
BBA (Financial Investment Analysis): a finance-focused programme built around financial analysis, markets, valuation and risk.
B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics: an economics-led programme that applies statistics, econometrics, finance and economic reasoning to business decisions.

The course name should drive the preference list, not the old label "DU JAT college." A college may offer one of these programmes without offering the other two.

DU JAT 2026 Eligibility: CUET Subject Combination

For the 2026-27 admission cycle, BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics use the same four-paper combination. Merit is calculated from the CUET scores in that combination.

The fourth paper matters: Language + Mathematics + General Aptitude Test is incomplete for these programmes in 2026. The combination also needs one eligible List B subject.

Is Mathematics Compulsory?

Yes. The candidate must have studied and passed Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in Class 12 and must take the corresponding Mathematics paper in CUET. A student cannot add Mathematics only at the CUET stage to repair a Class 12 subject record that does not meet DU's rule. Applied Mathematics students are eligible to apply and select the Mathematics paper in CUET.

Do Class 12 Marks Count in Merit?

The old 65% entrance-test plus 35% board-marks formula does not belong to the current route. CUET UG scores form the admission merit for 2026-27. Class 12 results establish subject and minimum eligibility and may be used for tie-breaking during CSAS; they do not carry a routine 35% merit weight.

DU JAT Application Form: What Students Fill Now

There are two different forms with different jobs:

CUET UG form: submitted through NTA to choose the examination papers, cities and candidate details.
DU CSAS UG form: submitted to Delhi University to map CUET and Class 12 subjects, claim the applicable category and build programme-college preferences.

The CUET form does not contain the final DU college preference list. That list belongs to CSAS. Students can follow the live Delhi University admission process for the active allocation stage.

CUET to DU CSAS Admission Process

Programme-college preferences are used during allocation, so the order submitted in CSAS affects the highest available choice a student may receive.

Select the right CUET papers. The four-paper combination must preserve eligibility for the intended programme.
Take CUET UG. Keep the application details and scorecard ready for DU registration.
Submit the separate DU CSAS UG form. Match the CUET papers with the subjects studied and passed in Class 12.
Build programme-college preferences. BMS at one college and BBE at another are separate preferences, not one combined DU JAT option.
Check the simulated list and edit preferences within the allowed window. The final order decides which available higher preference can be allotted.
Accept the allocation and pay the admission fee. The college checks the application and documents before the seat is completed.

DU JAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus: Historical Reference

The latest official JAT scheme retained in NTA's DUET UG archive is from 2021. It is useful for understanding old papers, not for choosing the 2026 CUET papers.

The overall scheme above comes from the official NTA DUET UG 2021 bulletin. CUET 2026 uses separate language, domain and General Aptitude papers, so the old 100-question JAT structure is not a current mock-test blueprint.

DU JAT Result, Cutoff and College Allotment Now

The current journey has no DU JAT result page or DU JAT counselling round. NTA releases the CUET scorecard. Delhi University then forms programme-specific merit and allocates a programme-college combination through CSAS using the eligible CUET score, category, preference order and available seats.

A current "DU JAT cutoff" is therefore the wrong comparison. Students need the allocation score or closing score for the exact programme, college, category and CSAS round. There is no DU JAT pass percentage or 2026 topper list either, because no DU JAT paper is being held.

BMS vs BBA FIA vs BBE

The common entrance combination does not make the curricula interchangeable. Read the programme syllabus and college offering before freezing the preference order.

Can Old DU JAT Papers Still Help?

They can provide extra practice for quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English and general awareness. They should not be used as full CUET mocks because the paper structure, subject selection and admission merit have changed. A DU JAT 2018 question paper is best treated as a historical aptitude set; current preparation should follow the CUET syllabus and paper format for the four required subjects.

All three use the same CUET combination in 2026, so preference order should reflect curriculum and college choice rather than an imagined easier paper.

Current Exam Route

Will DU JAT be conducted in 2026? +

No. Delhi University uses CUET UG for these undergraduate programmes and then admits students through CSAS UG. There is no separate DU JAT registration, paper or admit card for 2026.

Is DU JAT the same as CUET UG? +

No. DU JAT was a programme-focused entrance paper for BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics. CUET UG is a national entrance system in which a student chooses language, domain and aptitude papers for many universities and programmes.

For these three DU programmes in 2026, the required combination is one language, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, one List B subject and General Aptitude Test. CUET supplies the score; a separate DU CSAS form supplies programme-college preferences and enters the student in allocation.

When was DU JAT last held? +

NTA's last official DUET UG bulletin carrying the JAT paper is from 2021. Delhi University moved undergraduate admission to CUET and CSAS in the 2022-23 academic year.

Eligibility and Paper Choice

Is Mathematics compulsory for DU BMS, BBA FIA and BBE? +

Yes for the 2026-27 admission route. The applicant needs Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in the Class 12 record and must take the Mathematics/Applied Mathematics paper in CUET. DU also expects CUET language and domain papers to match subjects studied and passed in Class 12.

The same four-part combination applies to all three programmes: one List A language, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, one List B subject and General Aptitude Test. A high CUET score cannot cure a missing compulsory subject when the programme eligibility is checked.

Can an Applied Mathematics student apply for these courses? +

Yes. DU accepts Applied Mathematics for BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics. The student selects the Mathematics paper in CUET and later applies for the programme in CSAS.

Can I apply without the General Aptitude Test? +

Not for these three programmes under the 2026 eligibility combination. General Aptitude Test is required along with one language, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics and one List B subject.

Forms, Merit and Old Papers

Is the CUET form enough for Delhi University admission? +

No. The NTA form registers the student for CUET and records the examination papers. Delhi University uses a second form, CSAS UG, for its own admission process.

Match CUET papers with the subjects studied and passed in Class 12.
Claim the applicable category or supernumerary route with supporting records.
Arrange every programme-college choice in preference order.
Accept an allocation, complete college scrutiny and pay within the deadline.

Do Class 12 marks count in DU JAT or CUET merit? +

There is no 2026 DU JAT merit formula. DU uses the required CUET scores for admission merit. Class 12 marks support eligibility and can be used for tie-breaking in CSAS; the old 35% board-weight rule is not the current system.

Can old DU JAT papers be used for CUET preparation? +

Use them as extra question sets, not as current mocks. Old JAT papers combine Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General English, and Business and General Awareness in one paper. That can support speed work in aptitude and language areas.

CUET admission now depends on separate language, Mathematics, List B and General Aptitude papers. A useful preparation plan therefore starts with each current CUET syllabus and recent CUET questions; an old JAT paper can sit beside those resources but cannot replace them.

Is there a DU JAT 2026 cutoff or topper list? +

No DU JAT examination is held in 2026, so it cannot produce a DU JAT scorecard, pass percentage, topper or cutoff. A page presenting one of those as current is carrying an obsolete exam label.

For admission, compare the CUET-based CSAS allocation record for the exact programme, college, category and round. A closing score from BMS at one college is not a common cutoff for BBA (FIA), BBE or every DU college.
