CBSE class 10 exam pattern has been revised for the session 2022-23. The board has rolled back its two-term policy and has decided to shift back to the annual examinations scheme. CBSE class 10th board examinations 2023 will be conducted from February 15 to March 21, 2023.

CBSE 10th board exam will be conducted for 5 subjects. There will be compulsory subjects, electives and subjects in co-scholastic areas.

These subjects will carry 80 marks in the theory part. The remaining 20 marks will be calculated on the basis of Internal Assessment.

The modified CBSE class 10 exam pattern for annual board examinations is as follows:

Students must note that there is no change in internal assessment. Internal assessments will carry a weightage of 20 marks as before.
Total Marks Weightage = Theory + Internal Assessment = 80 + 20 = 100
Note: Competency based questions may include MCQs, case-based questions, source-based integrated questions or any other type.
Each paper carries 100 marks including theory and internal assessments. The minimum marks required to pass in the examination is 33% in a subject as well as overall. Subject-wise division of marks are mentioned below:
