Ans: It totally depends upon the performance of the student. The academic performance at the research level is the most important thing. Ans. No. You cannot have a PhD in Ayurveda after a BE in Mechanical. For pursuing PhD Ayurveda, one must hold a BAMS, MD/MS ayurveda degree and have the knowledge related to the same. But you can request the university to provide a co-guide from the Ayurveda faculty if your research work is related to Ayurveda.

Ques. Does AIIMS have Ayurveda courses?

Ans. There is a separate branch of Ayurveda in the same campus as AIIMS called AIIA, that is, All India Institute of Ayurveda situated in Delhi. AIIMS doesn't look into the matters of AIIA, as they both have different administrative units.
