Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Health Care Administration)

The course of MBA Healthcare Administration is structured such as to impart adequate knowledge about the healthcare industry with in-depth knowledge about the specialization. The elective subjects of the course deal with the specialization for example courses like hospital organization and medical staff organization. These courses help the students learn a lot about hospital planning and health entrepreneurship along with concepts like health, society, and ethics and technical concepts like health laws and health economics.

The structure of the course corresponds to the basic knowledge required for a student to fulfill the prerequisites when one enters the arena of career and jobs. Hence, there are also topics like healthcare operations strategy and healthcare analytics and optimization which are useful for the students.

Managerial Economics Decisions of business firms, marginal analysis, managerial applications, production, and cost, etc. The basic knowledge about the micro-economic theory and the application of the concepts.
Accounting for Managerial Decisions Accounting theory, depreciation accounting, and inventory valuation, presentation and disclosure of accounting information and its analysis, types of budgets, etc. Developing the principles of Accounting and utilization of accounting information.
Marketing management Introduction to marketing, marketing environment, identifying and selecting markets, strategic market planning process, etc. The concepts and contemporary issues involved in the marketing of products and services.
Managerial finance Financial management, strategic investment decisions, strategic financing decisions, EBIT-EPS Analysis etc. Understanding the essential aspects related to financial management and the financial environment.
Information Technology Elements of information technology, planning and IT setup for an organization, IT governance, distributed database systems, managerial issues related to database management, etc. Using current information technology for management purposes.
Human Resource Management Foundation of HR management, leadership issues in HR, HR planning and optimal deployment, performance management, etc. Understanding the key concepts in managing people in an organization.
Operations Management for Executives Nature and scope for operations management, product and service design, JIT and lean operations, concepts of supply chain management, etc. Familiarizing the students with the concepts of operations management.
Economic Environment of Business National income accounting frameworks, IS-LM analysis, corporate governance in the private sector, etc. To acquaint students with the macro-economic concepts which are helpful for understanding the economic environment of an economy.
Strategic Financial Management Formulation of financial strategy, evaluate current and forecast performance, evaluate alternative financial strategies, analyzing complex investment decisions, etc. Key concepts in understanding the design and management of an organization’s financial strategy.
Marketing Research Introduction, data collection methods, survey and questionnaire design, hypothesis testing, etc. Fundamental concepts in marketing research and also the tools to conduct research and analysis.
Business Communication Conceptual issues in communication, principles of written communication, approaches to written communication, report writing, etc. To develop skills among students to effectively communicate through both mediums- written and oral.
Delivering Information Services Emerging technology issues and data processing, IT-enabled services, outsourcing, managing IT projects, and crisis, etc. Understanding of information services in an organization at the macro level.
