BCom LLB is a 5 year integrated law program focusing on both the legal as well as the commerce and business subjects. It helps students get a good knowledge of legal matters in business.
There are many such integrated programmes in all the streams, for example, a BE/BTech with MSc degree for science, BA-LLB for Arts, and B.Com-LLB for commerce stream.
A dual degree integrated programme offers two different degrees to students in two different disciplines. The course completion time is generally a year or two less than what it usually takes to complete the two degrees separately.

Students are then shortlisted on the basis of the cut-off marks as decided by the examination panel. Counselling rounds are then held where students can decide which university or college to opt or in many cases they have appointed a particular college on the basis of the marks scored by them in the entrance exams.
Apart from the entrance exam based admissions, universities and colleges also opt for direct admissions that are completely merit-based or on the basis of some quota as decided by the management of the university/college.
When we talk about the selection-cum-admission process, we should also be very careful about the documents a student needs to show at the time of admission or counseling. Following is the list of important documents to be carried along:
- Original marksheets of class 10th and 12th
- Transfer certificate
- Migration certificate
- One identity card (Aadhar Card, driving licence, passport etc)

- The minimum education qualification for this integrated course is 10+2, that is passing the class 12th examination.
- The minimum marks/percentage required for admission can vary from university to university. But in general, the minimum marks required is 55% for students belonging to the unreserved category and 40% for those other than the unreserved category. Even though it is a commerce based course, it is not necessary for an applicant to be a commerce student at the 10+2 level.
- The age required to be qualified in some of the universities and colleges to take admission in this integrated five-year program, on average, is not more than 20 years for the unreserved category.
- For any other category, the age relaxation and the minimum age required are decided by the admissions authority of the concerned university or college, although it is generally not more than 22 years of age.
- Although it is not a limiting factor. There are many colleges that offer the course without any limitation when it comes to age. An aspirant need not worry if the minimum and maximum age criteria are not fulfilled in one college, he or she just has to look for colleges that offer the course without such criteria.
