NTTF diploma program is recognized by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Kerala. As per the Govt. rules, you will be eligible for a lateral entry admission to the second year of B.Tech courses. There are various colleges that accept NTTF diplomas. The official website of NTTF has a list of such institutes.
The mechatronics branch is a combination of departments Mechanical and Electronics. It will provide several benefits in terms of the educational backdrop as well as escalates chances of earning more.
Having said that, the factors relating to learning topics as vividly as possible, alongside earning reasonably well mostly depends upon whether or not you are investing your efficiency in your academic profile. The salary package you secure partially depends upon your experience and education, both hand in hand.
Thus, to secure the best position in any job sector, it is best that you work on yourself and the skills that you possess.
Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) does not have an AICTE approval yet which is needed for your degree to be recognized as valid by other institutions in the country. If you are planning to do higher studies after the diploma from NTTF, then you may not get opportunities as it is not recognized. There is no point in doing a degree that is not recognized.
However, if you are looking for just a job after the course and nothing else, then it is good. It has good placement records and you will get ample opportunities for the same. I would say think twice before coming to this college if you are still not sure whether you are doing this course for just a job or higher studies.
I have a friend who is currently working with Jindal Steel and before that he was employed as a training officer in NTTF.
As per his insights, the training officers at NTTF should have engineering conceptual clarity and practical implementation of these concepts. They earn as per their qualifications and experience.
The posts offered to Training Officers are different in NTTF. These include Training Officer, Assistant Training Officer, Junior Training Officer, Senior Training Officer, and more.
As a fresher, the starting remuneration is anywhere between INR 16,000 to INR 18,000 per month. However, as he had some experience, he managed to earn INR 25,000 per month. Overall, the salary is decent.
Although NTTF is an amazing institute for gaining practical and technical knowledge, it still is not the perfect option. One of the reasons for its current situation is that it lost the recognition of the government and it also lost the competition. Engineering on the other hand opens a number of doors in the areas of career and higher studies. As an engineering graduate, you will have more recognition and value.
Engineering institutes impart practical, technical, and theoretical knowledge. In addition to that, engineering institutes also award degree certificates. NTTF only gives you a diploma on the completion of the course and it is inferior to the quality of a B.Tech degree.
According to some of my friends studying there, NTTF is the best for technical courses. Here are some things I got to know from them:
Categories | NTTF |
Highest CTC | 6-8 LPA |
Average CTC | 4 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Lohia Corp., Gainwell Commosales, Schneider Electric, Timken Limited, etc. |
The job scope is scarce for this course in India as the tooling industry is unorganized. Therefore, the foreign placements are better than in-country. Overall, the institute is worthy enough for an interested student.
One of my friends completed his PG in Tool Design a few years back. His experience at the institute was pretty good.
If you are a Mechanical Engineer then NTTF is the perfect place for you to explore and learn.
In NTTF Bangalore there are two centers, E-City and Peenya. I know someone who studied in the E-City NEC campus and the courses she and her batchmates were offered are:
Other courses offered by NTTF Bangalore are M.Tech, ME, Polytechnic, etc.
The courses offered in NTTF Bangalore focus on 70% practical training and 30% theoretical. Achieving a holistic learning experience through workshops, the latest training methods, soft skills development curriculum, library, and internet facilities is the objective.
After reading some reviews online, I think that the Indo German Tool Room (IGTR) Aurangabad is better than NTTF Bangalore. It just comes below CTTC Bhubaneswar in terms of quality. Here are some things that make it stand out among others.
Categories | IGTR Aurangabad |
Course Fee | 70,000 - 1 lakh |
Highest CTC | 3 LPA |
Average CTC | 2.4-2.6 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Tata Mahindra, Minda Corp, Varroc, Endurance, etc. |
The only problem with IGTR Aurangabad is that it has very strict rules and regulations. Students are supposed to maintain discipline while inside the college premises. Otherwise, it is a very good course and institute.
NTTF is particularly renowned for its practical-oriented learning pedagogy. In fact, the curriculum has more practical learning than any theory at all. However, here are some points to take into consideration.
The major pitfall that many people anticipate is that diploma courses do not have many options for a job. Thus, choose after you have researched more about your prospects.
