IISER offers a BS program in 2 broad streams i.e. Engineering Sciences disciplines And Humanities and Social Science discipline (Economic Sciences).
In the engineering Sciences discipline, after completing a common curriculum in the first two years, students can choose from one amongst the three major disciplines currently being offered: Chemical Engineering, Data Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science.

IISER also offers BS-MS (Dual Degree) to students who have passed class XII. The process of admissions in all IISERs is managed by the Joint Admissions Committee (JAC), headed by a Chairman and having members from all IISERs.
The specializations offered by BS-MS (Dual Degree) are Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics.
Eligibility Criteria
- For BS, candidates must have passed (10+2) with mathematics as one of the subjects.
- For BS-MS, candidates must have passed (10+2) in science stream
Selection Criteria
The admission to IISER BS and BS-MS is done through different channels-
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY): Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship are eligible to apply for admissions.
Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced): Candidates in the General category securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced are eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to the reserved category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PD), their category rank would be used. Additional cut off criteria may be applicable.
State and Central Boards: Students who have passed (10+2) level with science stream during the current or previous year with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards are eligible to apply.
Students applying through the SCB channel will have to appear in IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centers across the country.

The application fee for the form is INR. 2000/- for general category students and INR. 1000/- for reserved caste candidates.
