IISER Bhopal is a good option for Engineering. The course structure is good. You will study the primary subjects of engineering and basic sciences. Students can take placements after the completion of the 4th year or take another year to complete MS. According to IISER Bhopal placement highlights of recent years, the salary packages offered are in the range of INR 6-28 LPA. 

According to the information I got online, if you want a more job-oriented course with appropriate industry exposure, etc. then it is not a good option.

• You will not receive a regular B.Tech degree from here. But if you are looking for research internships and opportunities it will be perfect. 
• You will get a choice of research and academia, all of this with regard to multidisciplinary science and research.
• The BS program in engineering sciences at IISER Bhopal aspires to do more than just teach and train regular engineers.
• It seeks to impart a much more holistic, interdisciplinary approach, along with a strong emphasis on research orientation. 

The ultimate objective of these courses is to promote dedicated students towards taking up a career in research and academia, rather than opting for the corporate industry. This is where it differs from a regular B.Tech degree.
