Bachelor of Education or B. Ed. as it is usually referred to is an undergraduate bachelor degree program offered by many universities/colleges across the country. The course is taken up by students who are interested in teaching. The course is a professional course and their minimum eligibility criterion is that the student must have completed their undergraduate degree course is any discipline.

The duration for the course is for two years as per the new rules. The course is also offered by many open universities and the duration through distance learning is for minimum two years and maximum five years.

What is B. Ed. about?

The course is a skill training based program which is focused on providing all the necessary training to the students so that they are clear about all the aspects of classroom teaching.
