What I Liked

College campus and teachers are good and helping
Ac Classroom and lab are big and cleaned
Placements are available in college and activities for different different sectors can done

What I didn’t like

Placement Experience:

4 th semester students are eligible for placement and there are so many placement are available in college but if I can't get the placement by College I tried my best and apply in TCS, Accenture and other IT companies.

First for admission you need to register on Somaiya college website And pay 1000 rupees and fill details and documents. offers later are send by College after verification of documents. For admission only eligibility you are clear all kr exams in graduation after that they give admission

What I Liked

The campus of somaiya college is huge and spacious
Air conditioner class rooms and labs. Giving breaks during lecs
Fests and events of somaiya college which is well organised

What I didn’t like

Lift stops working on a random day, sometimes even for days it doesn't work
Somaiya campus area is huge which is good but changing class for lectures going from one building to another is something I dislike.
Mid sem exams where 2 exams are on the same day.Its good actually but I don't want to give 2 exams on a same day

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced by the curriculum's focus on core programming languages and database management.The presense of career oriented module and industry connections played a significant role.The exam timings are of 2 or 3 hours depending on the marks. The papers are set according to the syllabus. The structure of paper pattern includes every unit which helps to test the overall knowledge of the individual subject

Remarks:

A candidate must have passed 12th with minimum 55% for being eligible for BCA. From this year i.e. 2024 the candidate should have been appeared for entrance exams. The whole process of addmission is online, nothing is offline. You can find everything related to the course in the Somaiya website.

Which is better, K J Somaiya or SK Somaiya?

KJ Somaiya is better than SK Somaiya. It ranks higher and is more reputed among students. If you have good grades, you should choose KJ Somaiya without thinking any further. KJ Somaiya has a great student crowd. So, the peer-to-peer learning opportunities are good.

The institute has a good placement record as well. KJ Somaiya placements 2022 had an average CTC of INR 10.9 LPA.
