The College offers courses in Bachelor in Mass Media, B.Sc in three streams, B.Com in four specializations, and B.A in Journalism & Mass Communication. To be eligible to apply, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination in the relevant stream from a recognized board. The selection of candidates is done on merit as per marks secured in the class 12th qualifying examination.

Admission Process:

• Interim Admission i.e. Phase 1: Applicants will be considered eligible for Interim Admission if they have successfully completed their 10th and 11th class final examination. The selection criteria will be based on the merit as per the weighted average i.e.70:30 proportion of 10th and 11th class final result score respectively.
• Provisional Admission i.e. Phase 2: Applicants will be considered eligible for Provisional Admission if they have successfully completed their 12th class or equivalent final examination. The selection criteria will be based purely on the merit basis.

Note: A student can pursue one full time major undergraduate programme of the college. However students can pursue dual degrees subject to regulation stated in accordance with.

For candidates interested in pursuing post-graduation, the college offers M.Com, M.Sc, and M.A in various subject specializations. The basic eligibility requirement to apply is to pass Bachelor’s degree in the relevant or allied discipline. The selection of eligible candidates will be based on marks secured in bachelor’s degree in aggregate.

Admission Process:

Interim Admission (Phase 1): Applicants will be considered eligible for Interim Admission if they have successfully completed their Semester V final examination with no pending KTs. The selection criteria will be based on the merit of Semester V final result score.

Provisional Admission (Phase 2): Applicants will be considered eligible for Provisional Admission if they have successfully completed their Semester VI or equivalent examination of Bachelor degree with no pending KTs. The selection criteria will be based on the merit of Semester VI final result score.

Note: A student can pursue only one full time postgraduate programme of the college.

SK Somaiya College offers admissions to Ph.D in various areas. To be eligible to apply for the program candidates must have obtained Master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks. The selection of candidates shall be based on qualifying scores in SVU-PET (Somaiya Vidyavihar University Ph.D Entrance Test) followed by Interview & Discussion.
