Malda Medical College is a government institute approved by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). Usually, all UG programs are equivalent, but Malda Medical College is one of the excellent medical schools in India.
The institute accepts NEET UG entrance cut-offs for admission in the MBBS program.
The seat matrix for State Quota is 85% while for All India Quota, it is 15%
The main advantage is that it is a government institute. So, it gives the best practical exposure to students.
It also provides various scholarships to financially weak students.
The infrastructural facilities have improved over the years. It includes a hostel, library, and canteen.
The only drawback of the institute is that it is in the outskirts of Calcutta, and faculties get transferred at regular periods.
Based on all these factors, I will suggest that you go to Malda Medical College if you have the option to join.
