It’s better to do an MS from US as you will get better exposure compared to NICMAR. Their practical approach to studies like labs and internships will help you a lot in your career. You will get better career options after completing an MS in the US. Since the degree is valid all across the US as well as the world. You don’t need to give any other qualifying examination for working anywhere. Yes, you can join NICMAR without work experience. Having work experience isn’t mandatory. But having work experience will help you grasp the concepts better. More than 30% of students in NICMAR Pune have work experience of above 12 months.  But being a fresher won’t be much of a problem. You can learn through visualization. The new campus of NICMAR Hyderabad is 20 Km away from the city and you hardly find anything around the campus.  You need to walk 2 Km from the bus stand to get into the NICMAR campus.  There is a small basketball court and cricket ground. The gym facilities are good but usually remain overcrowded. One small shop is there where you hardly find anything, and the food is of average quality and the menu gets repeated. But there is a 24 hours electricity supply and the classrooms are well-equipped with air conditioners. Also, a free wifi facility is available but there is a limit, if you use it beyond that then your id is blocked by the officials. Thus, we can conclude that the facilities provided in the new campus are less when compared to the old one.

After the completion of the first year, you can apply for internships for which you need to appear for an interview session alongside a written exam. It is usually based upon Aptitude and English, apart from subjects taught in NICMAR. During this time, you can practice for the final placements. It is best if you practice the aptitude and reasoning section of RS Agarwal as it is one of the most preferable books. Having a broad knowledge base in the core civil engineering topics is one of the most significant parts of the NICMAR syllabus.  NICMAR interview processes include a group discussion which mandates good communication skills.
