College of Engineering Vadakara is one among the renowned colleges in Kozhikode District. CEV is located at Kurunthodi in Maniyur village 13 km left from Vadakara .

College of Engineering Vadakara (CEV) formerly known as Co-operative Institute of Technology. The first Engineering College under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), established by Govt. of Kerala, started functioning in June 1999. The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Admissions to the most of the programmes are made through CEE counselling based on rank obtained in KEAM
.Like most Engineering colleges in India,CEV conducts its admission process through a proper counselling session for respective programs.
For B.Tech. the candidates must produce 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics put together are eligible for admission in this course.
For MCA candidates must have a Degree with Mathematics as one of the main or subsidiary subjects or graduate in Electronics / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Engineering / Technology with an aggregate of 55% marks.

B.Tech Selection Criteria

Admission is made on the basis of the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State.

60% of the seats in the Colleges under CAPE will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation policy of the Government.

And also, 35% seats under Management are also allotted by the CEE on merit basis and 5% N.R.I seats filled by CAPE on the basis of rank of examination.

Admission to Electronics And Instrumental Engineering (Lateral Entry) will be grated on the basis of qualify the LET exam.
