Sahrdaya College of Engineering, Thrissur was established in 2002 under Irinjalakuda Diocesan Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Calicut University, Malappuram and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is recognized by Government of Kerala and accredited by The Institution of Engineers, India. The vision of the SCET is to train the youth to be the leaders of tomorrow with apt skills, deep-rooted sense of social responsibility, strong ethical values and with a global outlook to face the challenges of changing world. The mission of the institute is to promote academic excellence, absolute discipline, and sound practical exposure.

Sahrdaya College of Engineering Facilities

The college has been awarded “Swatch Campus Award” due to its wide collection of plants. The college has also a healthy medicinal garden with lots of plants with medicinal values. Sahrdaya college facilitates the needs of students by providing the following facilities:

Canteen: There is a clean and hygienic canteen that serves nutritious food to the students and staff members. It has a proper food menu decided for each day.
Library: The library spread over an area of 697 sq meters. and has a seating capacity of 700 students. It has a collection of 6088 titles and 16540 volumes of books. It subscribes to 61 national and 26 international journals. It also subscribes to 08 newspapers and 29 magazines.
Transportation: The college has a total of 21 buses to pick and drop the students to various localities.
Gym: Apart from academic excellence, it is essential for students to be both physically and mentally strong. There is a separate fitness centre for both boys and girls. Proper guidance is provided to all of the students.
Multimedia Conference Room: Sahrdaya College has a well-equipped air-conditioned conference room with a capacity of 150 people. It serves the need for executive meetings and video conferences.
Hostel: The college has separate hostels for both male and female students. All of the hostels are ragging free and provides a residential feeling.

Sahrdaya College of Engineering Placements

The Placement Cell of the college handles all of the recruitment responsibilities by organizing pre-placement talks, mock interviews and finally conducting interviews. The programs are designed in a way to provide the students with an equal amount of balance between academic and practical knowledge.
