Now, when it comes to colleges, I can say that they are nearly the same with no such drastic difference. So if you are to choose either of the two, then you can choose based on the distance between them and your hometown. Choose one in which you live or one that is close to your hometown. Going too far from your hometown won’t be worth your money, time, and efforts.You will eventually acknowledge this by the end of the four years of your B.tech degree.

It depends upon the placement cell and their relations with the companies. Various companies like TCS, Infosys, Jaro, Persistent systems, and other top companies are the consistent recruiters from the University Institute of Technology, RGPV with good CTC.

UIT RGPV provides internship opportunities with AICTE based virtual internships in this pandemic. Students participate in project-based internships and work with MNC's as an intern to get product based knowledge.

There have been a lot of cases when students have changed their branch after the first year. My brother from RGPV did the same when he was pursuing PCT. He changed his branch from PCT to EC. 

• Well, the important thing which you should keep in mind before changing the branch is that you should keep an eye on the number of vacant seats offered by the college.
• The students from any branch are allowed to change to any other branch. Such as a student from CS can change his branch to automobile, EX to CS, or PCT to EC.
• The only thing you should take care of is maintaining a good grade, for switching branches.

Thus, you are all free to change the branch if you fit the criteria of changing a branch.

Hostels facilities at UIT-RGPV are only offered for girls (both UG and PG degrees) and boys (only PG courses) on the RGPV campus with specific income and category restrictions, which is inconvenient. All of the boys from B.E. are day scholars. A bus cost of 7000 per year must be paid.

The college hostel charge is Rs.2400 additionally. Now coming to the mess charges, it varies since they rise every six months, and because RGPV's mess is a private mess, it charges around Rs.1750 per month.

If you've decided to enroll at UIT RGPV and are interested in learning more about ECE, yes, compared to all other branches, ECE is a good option. As some of my friends studied there, I might be able to share some facts about the college I got to know from them.

• The faculty only guides you with certain things. 
• Here you have to work hard to prepare yourself. You'll have to do everything on your own, which is ultimately done for your betterment.
• You will receive more theoretical knowledge than practical.
• Some of the faculty members might help you with the practicals, but otherwise, you have to take the initiative yourself.

If you are in ECE, there are chances that you will be placed in MNCs such as TCS, Infosys, and other IT companies, but there are very few chances that you will be placed in a core electronics company.

No, this is not true. UIT RGPV has an excellent atmosphere. Following are some tips for you to know beforehand:

• Academics have nothing to do with the institution. The so-called pointer will not matter to corporates unless it is too low or high to believe.
• Although, UIT RGPV does not focus on skill development because of the curriculum, syllabus, and schemes. Labs are not functional in some subjects.
• The culture at the campus is diverse with students coming from all over the country.
• UIT RGPV has a campus with 250 acres surrounded by a hill, and most of it is covered by natural vegetation, much like any other college’s access to all required facilities for everyone.
• It also has a training placement cell and also an entrepreneurship development cell.
• Some of the alumni have made it to the top 10 in the GATE exam and UPSC.
• There are no attendance problems so you can divide your time wisely.

One of my friends had been a student of UIT- RGPV and here are the things that I got to know about the hostel facilities through him. 

• Recently, the college campus went through a renovation which made sure that the hostels and the guest rooms are well maintained and fully hygienic. 
• The college campus has numerous facilities for the students such as good internet connectivity, the students are able to enjoy all the basic necessities and the hostel facilities as well. 
• The campus has greenery around it, public transports such as rikshaw are easily available and the roads are well constructed. 
• The only thing you will miss there is the homely taste of food. As the mess is run by a private contractor, it isn’t that satisfying. 

Overall, you will enjoy the hostel life thoroughly at UIT RGPV. 

This is one of the most common questions asked by students in their first year at RGPV. Most of these students are admitted based on the score obtained in the CLC round. Due to this, they are only left with 2-3 options(Mechanical or Petrochemical) to avail seats.

It would not be possible for you to upgrade the branch assigned to you during enrollment. If you have a good academic record, the seats are still offered on the basis of vacancy.

For instance, if a certain branch has a seat available for an OBC candidate, then a General category student cannot apply for it. If in any case, none of the OBC candidates applied for the seat only then you can have a chance.

Even if you have a higher score and have no backlogs, in comparison with an OBC candidate having few backlogs, the seat would still get allocated to him.
