University Institute of Technology (UIT RGPV) was established in 1986 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. as Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. The college is affiliated to RGPV.
- A candidate seeking admission to B.E, must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology as the third subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
- Students have to qualify JEE Main in order to secure admission in B.Tech program.
- A B.E/B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline is required for the M.Tech program.

UIT RGPV, Bhopal Reservation Criteria 2022
- The Institute follows the reservation policy of the Technical Education & Skill Development Department, Government of MP. As per the present policy, 90% seats are available for candidates having domicile of MP and 5% seats are reserved for All India and NRI candidates.
- UNDER the category of MP Domicile, 20, 16 and 14% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to ST, SC and OBC (excluding creamy layer) respectively.
- 3% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped class.
- Apart from this 5% supernumerary seats are available under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme of AICTE. Further one seat each is reserved for J&K Migrants and J&K Resident category.
UIT RGPV, Bhopal Scholarship: It is administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Government of India. Scholarship holders are directly nominated by ICCR to the Institute. These students must also satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission under foreign nationals.

CLC round is conducted to give admission on the basis of class 12th marks. The admission process takes a long time, little bit procedure should be reduced.

Uit rgpv bhopal, have a great opportunity for those who get a decent score, more in jee main. Engineering needs practical knowledge more and uit Bhopal has the best labs for all departments to a very excellent extent. U can go for entrepreneurship also and can get 1 lakh funds if u are genuine. Uit Bhopal has the biggest library in Madhya Pradesh. So over all campus is 9/10 with the new hostel facility. Talking about teachers and professors, you will be best in quality interns of study, labs, research projects, etc. Great opportunity for you. About campus selection, it's now more over on you how you develop yourself in 4 years. And uit produces big ones. The advantage is of course after MANIT Bhopal, UIT is the only recognized college to provide quality and exposure. About fees, which are much decent and scholarship can end all fees except your hostel and mess. The college itself provides transport facilities at minimal cost or free. No harassment cases there.

In the mpdte counselling, I willingly got UIT RGVP Bhopal (electronics and communication) after I had taken JEE mains for my btech course and scored 80 percentile. Having heard about this college, it is a huge and beautiful college with a lot of greenery within it, so my admission process was much simpler than I expected. As a result of the mp government scholarship (medhavi chatra) I had my fees reduced. The facilities are very supportive regardless of the situation. There's no doubt that the professor's classroom is enormous, and the way he teaches is impressive as well. As well as the infrastructure is excellent. The overall rating for this college was very good, and the admissions process was handled very well. The fact that I will be studying at this college in the future makes me very happy

How hard is it to change your branch from automobile to CS/IT after 1 year at UIT RGPV?
Ans
There have been a lot of cases when students have changed their branch after the first year. My brother from RGPV did the same when he was pursuing PCT. He changed his branch from PCT to EC.
Well, the important thing which you should keep in mind before changing the branch is that you should keep an eye on the number of vacant seats offered by the college.
The students from any branch are allowed to change to any other branch. Such as a student from CS can change his branch to automobile, EX to CS, or PCT to EC.
The only thing you should take care of is maintaining a good grade, for switching branches.
Thus, you are all free to change the branch if you fit the criteria of changing a branch.

What are the charges for the hostel and mess at UIT RGPV Bhopal?

Hostels facilities at UIT-RGPV are only offered for girls (both UG and PG degrees) and boys (only PG courses) on the RGPV campus with specific income and category restrictions, which is inconvenient. All of the boys from B.E. are day scholars. A bus cost of 7000 per year must be paid.
The college hostel charge is Rs.2400 additionally. Now coming to the mess charges, it varies since they rise every six months, and because RGPV's mess is a private mess, it charges around Rs.1750 per month.

No, this is not true. UIT RGPV has an excellent atmosphere. Following are some tips for you to know beforehand:
Academics have nothing to do with the institution. The so-called pointer will not matter to corporates unless it is too low or high to believe.
Although, UIT RGPV does not focus on skill development because of the curriculum, syllabus, and schemes. Labs are not functional in some subjects.
The culture at the campus is diverse with students coming from all over the country.
UIT RGPV has a campus with 250 acres surrounded by a hill, and most of it is covered by natural vegetation, much like any other college’s access to all required facilities for everyone.
It also has a training placement cell and also an entrepreneurship development cell.
Some of the alumni have made it to the top 10 in the GATE exam and UPSC.
There are no attendance problems so you can divide your time wisely.

One of my friends had been a student of UIT- RGPV and here are the things that I got to know about the hostel facilities through him.
Recently, the college campus went through a renovation which made sure that the hostels and the guest rooms are well maintained and fully hygienic.
The college campus has numerous facilities for the students such as good internet connectivity, the students are able to enjoy all the basic necessities and the hostel facilities as well.
The campus has greenery around it, public transports such as rikshaw are easily available and the roads are well constructed.
The only thing you will miss there is the homely taste of food. As the mess is run by a private contractor, it isn’t that satisfying.
Overall, you will enjoy the hostel life thoroughly at UIT RGPV.

Can my branch upgrade at UIT RGPV if I score good in the exams?
Ans
This is one of the most common questions asked by students in their first year at RGPV. Most of these students are admitted based on the score obtained in the CLC round. Due to this, they are only left with 2-3 options(Mechanical or Petrochemical) to avail seats.
It would not be possible for you to upgrade the branch assigned to you during enrollment. If you have a good academic record, the seats are still offered on the basis of vacancy.
For instance, if a certain branch has a seat available for an OBC candidate, then a General category student cannot apply for it. If in any case, none of the OBC candidates applied for the seat only then you can have a chance.
Even if you have a higher score and have no backlogs, in comparison with an OBC candidate having few backlogs, the seat would still get allocated to him.
