Important Updates for GEC

Government Engineering College (GEC) Bhavnagar BTech admission 2024 is based on the GUJCET exam. The GUJCET exam 2024 dates are out. The application form is scheduled to be released in February 2024. The exam will take place on April 02, 2024.

Established in the year 2004 and located in Bhavnagar in the state of Gujarat, Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhavnagar is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU).

GEC Bhavnagar offers B.E degree course in 6 specializations.

Admission to B.E course is done on the basis of Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB).
Candidates should have passed 10+2 in Science stream in order to be eligible for GUJCET.
Admissions are provided on the basis of merit list, prepared by considering the candidates’ performance in the qualifying exam and GUJCET.

GEC Bhavnagar B.E Admission 2023

Government College of Engineering, Bhavnagar offers B.E in 6 specializations. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to BE degree course is 10+2 in Science stream with at least 45% marks.

Candidates are selected on the basis of GUJCET/JEE Main score. The admission shall be granted on the basis of merit list which is prepared by taking into account 60% marks in theory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in 10+2 and 40% marks of GUJCET entrance test.

Those with a valid JEE Main score are exempted from GUJCET.

Key points for B.E admission:

Candidates appearing in JEE need not appear for GUJCET.
5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in qualifying exam criteria.
50% seats are filled by candidates having a valid JEE Main score.
JEE Main counseling is done by JoSAA Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

GEC Bhavnagar Application Process 2023

Application form for GUJCET can be accessed by first submitting Demand Draft of Rs 300/- as application fee at help centers to get User ID.

After getting this User ID candidates can then fill application forms by logging onto website

Documents required to be uploaded by the applicants as per the specifications required are:

A recent passport size photograph with specifications: 5Kb-50Kb and format of photograph should be JPG or JPEG.

GEC Bhavnagar Reservation 2022

Reservations for various categories are as follows:

No caste certificate shall be valid unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the any authority which has been empowered by the Government of Gujarat.

Remarks:

There are three rounds for admission if you applied through ACPC. You can get a seat based on your gujcet exam and JEE mains exams. There were also some seats reserved for sc/st/obc. This process is good and I got good college.

Remarks:

This course eligibility cutoff is all Gujrat rank is 4500 to need to join this college and admission. I found it on youtube and know something about my big brother. Yes, this three-stage first round was the mock round you try to which college you choose for extra and last 2 rounds you finally get admission.

Remarks:

First I got the 12th result and I am eligible for the college computer course. And then I will apply and get addmission easily base on my results and overall rank. When a student doesn't get addmission online then go to college and check if any student has missed it and if his sit is available or not.

Remarks:

Sixty percent of scores in GSEB exams and fourth percent in GUJCAT is being considered combined. I want a change where entire admission process should be on the basis of only GUJCAT score. Reservation benefit for SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories. Cut off is so variable but generally students of general category who get 6000 rank(given by GSEB) can get into any branch, for other categories it can be upto 12000 rank.
