Velalar College of Engineering and Technology is an autonomous college, affiliated to Anna University, Tamil Nadu and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Every year, Velalar College of Engineering and Technology admissions are conducted for the students on the basis of cut off marks which is declared by VCET Management. The VCET Admission application for the 2020 batch can be found online and the students can apply for admission on the college website.

VCET also offers undergraduate lateral entry applications for second-year students to directly apply for the B.Tech/B.E course.

VCET Erode Scholarship

The institute offers merit-based scholarships for all students from different communities during the start of the semester. The students who are interested in sports can also avail of a sports quota scholarship.

The institute offers merit scholarships for students on the basis of merit. In the year 2018-19, nearly 400 students received scholarships.

All Fee Waiver Scheme: This is given to students who have scored more than 195 in the entrance exam. No fees for college, hostel, transport, and exam are charged from them.
Tuition fee waiver scheme: This scheme is given to students scoring between 190 to 194.75 in the entrance exam. The limit is up to INR 40,000 per year.

Hostel: A separate on-campus hostel for both boys and girls with facilities of gymnasium and cafeteria.

Auditorium: An auditorium for large gatherings and a conference hall for seminars and workshops which can accommodate more than 1000 students.
Grievance Redressal Committee: here the members make sure that there are no discrimination disputes among the students based on caste, religion, etc.
