In Person:

Candidates can obtain the Application Form in person from the 60 centres (detailed on Anna University’s official website) by paying Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, on production of a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) towards application fee, by cash/demand draft.

Application Forms can also be obtained by post from "The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University, Chennai-600025" by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- (Rs.450/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu with a photocopy of the Permanent Community Card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application form is to be mailed

The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to www.annauniv.edu/tnea2015; the procedure for registration is available in the website. All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised Bank dated on or after 05th May 2015

Candidates are instructed to write the name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.E Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects from Tamil Nadu Board or equivalent with at least 50%.
The eligibility for admission to second year B.E./B.Tech under lateral entry requires either a Diploma or B.Sc (with Maths in 10+2). Where 55% is required by general category candidates and 50% for the reserved category.

Selection Criteria

Students are selected for admissions based on TNEA counselling.

Admission Process

Students have to fill the form of the college
The selection is based on the cut off marks obtained in the higher secondary (10+2) examination
Cut off mark = 200 (100 for Mathematics and 100 for Physics + Chemistry)
For lateral entry shortlisting is based on the percentage marks obtained in the Diploma (10+3/12+2) examination.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for counselling process
