Good college for placements and to have fun

Campus Life:

Vasavi College is not only a top college due to its education but also its a good college conducting many activities for students to build their extracurricular activities. In our days, we had Athena and tech fests held. The library is extraordinary. We have more than enough books and it's very spacious and peacefully located in the center of the college as we have many blocks for each course. We also have indoor and outdoor games like volleyball, table tennis, badminton, basketball, cricket, and carrom. Sports competitions are also held every year.

Campus Life:

Euphoria is a vce annual fest which Is considered one of the most popular among Telangana and Andhra Pradesh .which used to be conducted every year, but since COVID hit, the Euphoria hasn't happened now The library is huge and has a wide range of journals and books which are up to date. students can use the library any time of the day Every classroom has fans, lights, CCTV cameras and a projector. some classes have sensors(automation for turning off lights and fans) There will be one hour of sports period in the course timetable and there will be a small ground which is mostly occupied by bus.So don't expect outdoor sports in Vasavi.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels are provided on campus. We should opt for hostels outside the campus. The fee structure varies from one to other. The registration process is not there for the hostel. There will be advanced booking paying 1000-2000 for hostels that are it.

Campus Life:

Books for students are also provided under the Book lending Scheme. Where students can take books and return it back at the end. And library also provides library cards which are useful for them to take books from the library for a couple of days.

I like the campus environment, infrastructure, and library. We have many clubs including the most active one Swayam. We also have clubs for sports. Usually, we have fewer fests and cultural activities. The classrooms are very good.

My honest review.

Hostel Facilities:

College Don't provide any hostel facilities but you can find hostels nearby the college. The fee of private hostels is nearly 75000-85000 per year. Hostels food is somehow bad but in our college, there is a good and hygienic canteen where you can have meals and different kinds of stuff at affordable prices.

Campus Life:

Entertainment fests are less in my college. But tech fests and tech events are done 1 or 2 times per month. There are so many clubs and activities to participate in. There will be a hackathon program every month. Everyone can participate. There are a lot of social clubs and groups run by students like swayam, NSS, NCC, and Hackathons. Talking about sports there will be some competitions done in every month. There are some extracurricular activities like Dramatics, art club, photography club, filmmaking club, Toastmasters club, MUN club etc. Talking about the library and books, there is a 2-floor building which contains only books, journals, magazines, digital libraries etc. You can find different types of books.

There are 3 ways through which you can enter Vasavi College of Engineering (VCE). These are EAMCET, JEE Mains, or NRI / NRI Sponsored. If you opt to apply through EAMCET, you will need an excellent EAMCET score in order to be admitted to VCE. If you are non-local, you are only eligible to fill 15% of the total seats under the convenor category. 85% seats are reserved for locals. CSE, IT, and ECE disciplines may require a triple-digit rank. As one of my friends scored 55, 153 AIR in Mains 18 and applied under B-CAT, he was offered Mechanical and he accepted it. The best thing about B-CAT admissions is that there are no reservations and the cost structure is the same as for EAMCET applicants, which is now 1.6 LPA. In the month of June, the college issues notification for B-CAT applicants, which you'll check on the official website. You must pay the application cost, and register as an applicant, providing all of your information (JEE Rank, XII Marks, etc.). The fourth option is to apply through the NRI category, which follows the same method as the Mains application. However, you would be admitted based on a merit list of XII marks obtained. It is extremely difficult to get a seat in the CSE branch. Last year's NRI cutoff for CSE was around 97% and there are similar trends for ECE and IT as well. Mechanical and Civil have comparatively low cutoffs around 75 percent. Some of my friends are from Vasavi Engineering College. According to them, there are different parameters to decide which among all the mobile networks work best. Here is a brief overview of what I have learned from them: In the CV Raman Block, which is for the Mechanical department, mobile networks like Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone work better than most others. Networks like Airtel, Jio, and Idea seamlessly provide the best speed around these two places. When coming down to the Mechanical and Civil labs, networks like Jio, Idea, and Airtel work the best. Airtel, however, is considered to provide the best network speed in the Ramanujan block, where the CSE and IT blocks are situated. For both the first-year students and the Civil block in the Vishveshwarya area, Airtel works best by all means. Idea and Jio can be considered second in this list. In the JC Bose block, established rather for the EEE and ECE block, Airtel and Idea do work reasonably well. These are some of the facts I got to know from my friends studying there.

There are some ground rules in Vasavi College of Engineering, which are as follows – College ID Card: No matter who you are if you don’t have a college ID you are not allowed to enter into college. In case If you lose/ forget it, you have to write a letter. Attendance: You have to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance. If you fail to do so you have to submit a medical certificate even if it is 1% less but if the attendance is below 65% it will be denied. There will be proctors who monitor your attendance once every few months and if It's not your day, then your parent/ guardian might receive a call. Punctuality: If you are late to college by 15 minutes, your ID card will be swiped which implies you will not be given first-hour attendance even if someone gives a proxy. No open gate system: You cannot come and go as you wish. Once you enter the college, you are not allowed to leave the college without permission during working hours. Nevertheless, you are allowed to go out during lunch hour from 2nd year. If you find these rules to be strict, then you have to struggle initially to get accustomed. Once you get used to these, you will have a different perception from what you had initially.
